On one side is a pipe, D, tted with a stop-cock, E, which pipe is to be inserted in the water-sup- .ply pipe used to iiush the Water-closet or urinal.' On the Opposite side of the bottle A is another pipe, F, which passes from the bottle to the Water-supply pipe, to be inserted nearer the point of the water-discharge.
NOW, the bottle A being always full of a disinfecting and deodorizing substance, and thepipe D passes into the bottle more than halt' way toward its bottom, whereas thepipe F commences near the top of the bottle A, it follows that when the water is on in the flushin g-pipe some of the disinfectant and deodor- EDWARD HOWARD, M D.
