This invention relates to a bracelet end connecter frequently called an end hook,

and has for its object to provide means whereby the bracelet may be adjustably connected to the connecter to vary its encirchng size.

A further object of the invention 1s to provide a construction by which the bracelet may be detachably connected to the connector.

With these and other objects and advantageous features in View, the invention con sists of a novel arrangement of parts more fully disclosed in the detailed description following, in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, and more particularly set 5 forth in the appended claims.

In the use of wrist bracelets for securing a watch to the arm of the wearer, it is desirable to provide some means for varying the length of the encircling bracelet which has been frequently accomplished by removing one of the links from the bracelet to shorten its size or adding a link to extend the encircling size of the bracelet. It is found, however, that in the use of large links that the change in size of the bracelet by the addition or omission of one of its links does not provide an accurate enough adjustment of the bracelet about the wrist, and in order to obtain in termediate adjustments less than the length of one of the links, I have provided a pivoted 50 member in the body of the end hook having prevent removal of the link therefrom.

With reference to the drawings, 10 designates the frame links of the bracelet suitably hingedly joined together by sheet metal connecters 11, the end link 10 being connected to the end hook which consists of a body portion 12 provided with a rolled or folded eye 13 at one end to engage the bail or lugs of a wrist watch, and which is provided at its opposite. end with a hook '14, side walls 15 which ex-- tend along the sides of the body and are piercedas at 16 to receive the trunnions 17 of the securing member 18 which has fingers 19 at either of its ends and an intermediate finger 20 extending therefrom, either one of which may extend into the opening 21 of the frame link 10 and in sufiiciently close pr0ximity to the top wall of the body 12 to lock it in the endconnecter in adjusted position.

If the maximum length of the bracelet is desired, the frame link 10 will engage the hook 14 as illustrated in Figure 4., in which p case the finger 19 adjacent the hook will close the openings 22 of the hook sufliciently to If the bracelet is to be made shorter, the link 10- may be moved inwardly to a position to lie-engaged by the finger 19, as shown in Fig ure 5, or if still shorter adjustment is desired, it may be moved inwardly to engage the fin- ,ger 20, as shown in Figure 6,'or if a still shorter size is desired, it maybe moved inwardly to engage the finger 19 on the opposite end of the securing member, as shown in Figure 7 to hold it in position. i

It is of course obvious that any desired numberof fingers may be provided depending on the length of the securing member and the length of the body of the connecter. The securing member 18 may be held in locked p0 sition by the lateral extensions 23 frictionally to j engaging the ears 24 on the body to prevent accidental movement of the member and detachment of the end link 10 from the hook.

While I have described certain construc-' tion forms which embody theprinciples of. my invention, itis obvious that; other desired changes in arrangement may be made within the spirit and the scope of the invention as defined in'the appended claims.

I claim: 7

1. A device for connecting a link bracelet to a wrist watch comprising a body member having side walls and means at one end to engage the lugs of a wrist watch, a member movably mounted between said side walls and provided with a plurality :of. spaced fingers, any one of which may extend into the opening in a .link positionedin said body to ad3ustably secure it thereto.
