The present invention relatestofasteners and more particularly to the type employing a member slidable ona strap, belt orthelike,

to obtain difierent adjustments thereon, this I l 5 application being a division inpart of an ap plication filed by me on the 7th of June,;1928, 'Serial No. 283,646. An object of thisinvention isto provide a construction in Whichthe slidable member may be made:inexpensivelyv 10 from a single piece of sheet metal without j any substantial waste ofmaterial.

1. A slide formed from sheet metal and having a slot through which a strap may ass, 311(1'311' anchoring device arranged on the rear of the slide. to one side of the slot,

said anchoring device being formed from a V U, shaped member'cu tgfrom the stockof the slide, the central portion being'formed' from metal cut from the slot and the end portions being 'cut'from metal to one side of the slot and having bends therein which throw the centralportion inthe rear of theslide and V I to one sideof the slot. p

Asfslide for straps'consistingof sheet metal having aportion'partly cut therefromt to providea slot for the passage of a strap and lateral slots,the portion thus separated being substantially of U shape and bentupon itself to provide ahook in the rear ofthe slide.

A sheet metal slide for straps having opposite edge portions flanged, and having spaced slots terminating adjacent the flanges and forming a middle and side bars, the slide having a tongue at the outer side of one of the slots, and having the portion out therefrom to form the other slot, of substantially U shape and bent upon itself to provide a hook in the rear of the slide and upon the 10 same side thereof as the flanges.
