This invention relates to improvements in ladies garments commonly known as brassires, an object of the invention being to provide a garment which will perfectly tit the 6 body and which will receive and support the breasts.
Another object of the invention is the provision of a garment and the method of making the same, which will not only produce a 10 perfect fitting-comfortable garment, but will also assist in assembling the same, so that a superior garment may be made at a low cost, due to the saving in labor. l

the invention further includes the following novel features and details of construction, to be' hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and pointe-d out in the appended claim.

Referring to the drawings in detail where-A in like characters of reference denote corresponding parts. the garment, which is made from a single piece of material, illustrated in Figure 3. comprises a band or body portion A. This band mav be straight alongits lower edge and have its upper edge outwardly curved'as shown and provided withspaced openings B.-
Forme-d integral with and extending from the upper edge of the band A are panels B, the said panels beingv connected at their outer corners as shown at B2. substantially triangular portions removed therefrom so as to provide. adjacent edges cl, d; e, et; and f, f'. In addition portions are removed to provide adjacent edges b, b
and c, c', While the edges a of the panels are shaped in conformity with the shapeof the edges a of the outwardly curved portions of the band A.
The edges d, d; e, e'; f, f; and c, c' are stitched together, the edges c, 0 providing The panels have darts C, while the edges e, e provide darts E and the edges d, d provide darts D.
The panels are folded upon the inside of the band A and the edges a of the panels are secured around the edges of the openings B, the panels being extended through the openings so as to provide pockets to receive the breasts of the wearer.
The band may be provided with a suitable marginal binding F and with shoulder straps G, while the ends of the band are provided With snap fasteners or other desired fastening means H.
By forming the panels B and the band A, integral or froln a single piece of material, considerable time and labor is saved in assembling the garment, as the panels are in their proper positions for attachment to the band after the darts have been made to properly shape the pockets.
The invention is susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction and the right is herein reserved to make'snch changes as properly fall within thev scope of the appended claim.
Having described the invention what is claimed is l -A garment comprising a body encircling band having the-medial portion of greater .width than the remaining portion and provided with spaced circular-shaped openings, and panels formed integral with one edge of the bandv adjacent the openings and provided with a plurality of -V-shaped cutout portions, said panels having certain edges stitched to the band about the openings and the other edges stitched together to provide combined covers and supports, and said panels connected by a narrow integral portion stitched to the 4band between the openings.
