IMPROVEMENT IN FRUIT-JAR RACKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 182,359, dated September 19, 1876; application filed July 22, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SToKLEY D. DILTs, of Lawrenceville, Lawrence county, Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in a Fruit-Jar Rack, of which the following is a specification The invention consists in improving fruitjar racks, so as to adapt them to jars of varying heights, as hereinafter described.
Figure 1 is an elevation, Fig. 2 a top view, and Fig. 3 a detail view, of end frames.
A is the bottom, and B the top, connected by end frames 0, having a series of apertures, c, for the reception of the top according to the height of the fruit-jars that are intended to be held by screws E. The latter pass through the top and press the caps F upon the packing Gr- O is a rod that passes through the middle of top B, and is secured to middle of bottom A, being provided at the upper end with a handle, I. The rack is thus conveniently handled and carried, as Well as adapted to jars of varying size.
What I claim as new is The herein-described fruit-jar rack consisting of the bars A B and frames G O, the latter being provided with openings 0 to allow the top to be secured at a greater or less elevation above the bottom, for the purpose specified. Y
