Der den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildende Sterilisirverschlufs, welcher in Fig. ι in Ansicht, in Fig. 2 im senkrechten Schnitt, in Fig. 3 in seiner Verschlufsstellung auf der Flasche dargestellt ist, besteht aus einem hohlen, konischen Gummitrichter A, welcher unten geschlossen, oben mit einer flachen und am Rande nach unten abgebogenen Kappe versehen ist. Das Princip der Wirkung dieses Verschlusses ist dasselbe, wie bei den anderen pneumatischen Verschlüssen; die beim Kochen des Inhalts entweichenden Dämpfe können neben dem in die Flaschenmündung lose eingesetzten Trichter A und unter der lose über den Flaschenkopf greifenden Kapsel B entweichen, ohne dafs der Verschlufs abgeworfen wird. Bei eintretender Abkühlung und in der Flasche entstehendem Vacuum wird der Hohltrichter durch den äufseren Atmosphärendruck in den Flaschenhals hinein, gleichzeitig aber auch aus einander und seitlich gegen die Wandung des Flaschenhalses gedrückt. Wie aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich, saugt sich dabei die ursprünglich- flache Oberseite der Kappe B ein wenig in die Flaschenmündung hinein und bildet eine tellerförmige Vertiefung.
