openings therein a facial change device consisting of rotatable members, each provided with a plurality of variously expressed features thereon, with a weighted means for rotating the rotatable members which may be operated by tipping the doll head whereby the variously expressed features on the rotatable members are successively exposed to view through the eye and mouth openings of the doll head.

Still a further object is to provide a modified construction in which a manually movable member may be manipulated for causing changes in the expression of the doll.

With these and other objects in view my invention consists in the construction, arrangement and combination of the various parts of my device, whereby the objects contemplated are attained, as hereinafter more fully set forth, pointed out in my claims, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

Figure 1 is a front elevation of a doll head illustrating one expression on the face 1 sltion illustrated so that the pawl 28 may thereof.

Figure 2 is a similar reduced view illustrating another expression.

Figure 3 is an enlarged sectional view on the line .3-3 of Figure 1 illustrating the facial change mechanism in section.

Figure 4 is a front elevation of the mechanism apart from the doll head.

Figure 5 is a side elevation of Figure 4 viewing the mechanism in the direction of the arrow 5 adjacent Figure 4 and Figure 6 is a sectional view similar to a part of Figure 3 illustrating a modified form of construction.

On the accompanying drawings, I have used the reference numeral 10 to indicate a doll head or the like. Eye openings 12 r and a mouth opening 14 are formed in the head 10.

My facial change mechanism consists of a pair of frame members 16 adapted to be supported within the doll head 10, as shown in Figure For instance, ears 18 on theends of the frame members 16 may be embedded in the material of the head.

Secured to the shaft 20 between the frame members 16 is a ratchet wheel 26. For rotating the ratchet wheel 26 I provide a pawl 28 pivoted to a pin 30. "The pin 30 is con-,, nected to a U shaped weight frame 32 The weight frame 32is pivoted at 34 to the framemembers l6. i

In Figure 6 I have illustrated a modified construction in which the pawl 28 is pivoted to a'lever50. The lever is pivoted at 52 w and connected by a link 54 with a-pushb'utton 56.
