My invention relates in general to a building form and has more particular reference to an improvement in building forms of the type described in my prior United 5 States Patent, Number1,6'36,396.
The type of building form to which this invention applies is that used in connection with the construction of monolithic walls, and thev like, which are formed of concrete @'10 or similar material which is arranged to form a wallwhen in plastic condition and then allowed to Vharden or set, building forms being used to supportthe material in position till the material hardens, and

ATo illustrate my invention, I have shown on thev drawings theV upper portions of a wall l1, under construction by the so-called course method. A freshly poured course 13` is shown at the top of the wall l1, supported between building forms. These forms comprise a series ot' co-operating sections 15 which are secured in position on opposite sides of the completed wall l1, and extend upwardly therefrom in parallel relationship, being secured in position on the Wall by means of tie rods 17, the ends of which pass through registering apertures 33 formed in thev sides of co-operatinav sccf tions 15, near the lower edges thereof. Each tie rod rests in al groove 63 formed across The groove G3 is formed, as will be hereinafter more fully explained, in such a manner that it has a'deniteangular relationship with the vertical 'wall surface. In the preferred embodirnent shown, the groove is perpendicular to the wall surface.
Each form section 15 comprises a substantially rectangular tace plate 21', having Y io angle irons 23 of substantially T-shaped cross section arranged along the upper and lower edges of the face plate 21 for the purpose of strengthening the same. The top portion 24 of the l engages the surface of the face plate and the shank or body 26 forms a flange extending outwardly from Vthe face plate. Both the upper and lower angle irons of each section 15 extend laterally beyondV a side edge of the face plate 21 to engage the tace plate of the adjacent section, the abuttingend of the angle iron 23 of the adjacent section being cut away at3O to receive the' said extended end of the angle iron. The body 26 of the angle ironsalso are extended in both directions beyond the edges of the face plate and one said 'extended'` end 31 is offset as at 25 to overlap the opposite extended end 32 of the flange of the adjacent section. These extended portions'are apertured to receive pins 27 which secure the ianges of adjacent form sections together.. Angle irons 28 of substantially L-shaped cross section are'secured alongthe end edges of the face plate 2l, candvintermediate angle irons 29. of U.- shaped cross section are arranged across the face plate between the'v top and bottom angle irons 23'for the purpose of strengthening the form section. yTheanglefirons23, 28

The tie rods are provided witha plurality of spaced diametral holes 35 extending fromv one end to adjacent the mid'portions ot the rod, and the opposite end of the rod 15 is threaded for engagement witha nut The diametral holes25 are formed to receive a pin 36 adaptedtov engage. one section. form sections having two tie rods per section, but it will be understood that any convenient number of rods may be used.
The forms may be removed from the Wall after the course is set by first removing the clamps 19, and then withdrawing the tie rods 17 from the grooves in which they were arranged when the forms were iirst positioned upon the wall. The tie rod leaves a cylindrical hole G5 through the Wall, which may be filled with wooden plugs to which urring strips may be conveniently attached, or the holes may be plugged With fresh buildinomaterial after the Wall has been completed. c
Having thus describedmy invention,
n what I claim as new and desire to secure yby Letters Patent is:
1. In a building form comprising side plates, atie rodfor securing the lovver portions of the side plates upon a wall, and a clamp for maintaining they upper portions of the side plates in spaced relationship, means formed on the said clamp for Jorming a groove in the material contained Within the form and additional means carried by said clamp for adjusting the angular position of the lwalls of the form with respect to the wall.
2. In a building form comprising side plates, a tie rod for securing the lower vportionsof the side plates upon a wall and a clamp .for maintaining spaced relation of thev upper portions of the side plates, means formed on the said clamp for forming a groove in the material contained within the form, saidA groove being adapted to receive the tie rod and align the form in position on the Wall when positioned for the succeedingcourse and additional means carried by said clamp for adjusting the angular position of the .Walls of the' form lwith respect to the wall.
3.In a building form comprising side platesv and a tie rod for the bottom of said l side plates, a clamp having projecting arms and notches adjacent said arms defining pivot points for said side plates, said arms adjustably engaging said side plates for aligning the same, said clamp having a portion arranged for forming a groove in the material contained within the form, said groove being adapted to receive the tie rod and align the form on the wall when positioned for the succeeding course.
l. In a building form comprising side plates adapted to support a wall course and atie rod for supporting the side plates on a wall, a clamp having arms embracing the upper portions of said plates, notches adapted to engage theedges of said plates adjacent said arms to provide pivot points for said platesand means carried by said arms for adjusting the position of the plates in the pivot points, said clamp having a portion kadapted to form a transverse groove in the top of the wall course, said groove being parallel to the tie rod.
- 5. In a building form, side plates adapted to support a wall course, a tie rod for maintaining the lower portions of said wall portions in spaced relationship and a clamp having arms embracing the upper portions of said wall portions, and having notches adapted to receive ythe edges of said wall portions and to provide pivot points for the Wall portions and means carried by said arms for adjusting the relative position of the walls in the pivot points,
6. In a building form, side plates adapte-L to support a wall course, a tie rod for maintaining the lower portions of the plates upon a Wall, an adjusting clamp for said plaies having arms embracing the sides thereof, said clamp being provided with notches adapted to receive the upper edges of said plates and said arms being provided with threaded means for adjusting the angularity oli the plates in the notches whereby the building form may be aligned upon a wall.
7. In a building form, side plates, a tie rod for securing the lower portion of the -side plates in spaced apart relationship,
spacing means for maintaining the upper parts of the side plates in spaced relationship and adjustable means carried by the spacing means to clamp the plates in a dcsired angular relationship on the wall, the spacingrmeans being arranged to form a groove in the material arranged in the form vertically above and parallel to said tie rod. 8. Ina building form, side plates adapted to support a wall course, a tie rod for maintaining the lower portion o' the plates in spaced relationship yand an adjustable clamp for maintaining the upper portions of said plates in spaced relationship, said clamp having an arm embracing the sides oitV a plate, said clamp being provided with means to receive the upper edges of said plates andthe arm being provided with adjustable means for clamping the parts in place, said clamp being positioned vertically above said tie rod in position to form a groove in the material in the form above and parallel to said tie rod.
9.
