IMPROVEMENT IN COIN-PACKAGES.

Specication forming part of Letters Patent No. 181,545, dated August 29, 1876; application filed June 28, 1816.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES F. TROUT, of Boston, of the county of Suolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Coin-Package; and do hereby declare the same to be described in the following specilication, and represented in the accompanying drawings, of which- 'Figure l is a perspective view of it, chargedv with coins. an end view, Fig. 4 a transverse section, and Fig. 5 a longitudinal section, of it. Fig. 6 is a view of the blank before being folded and eyeleted.

In making the package I first cut a piece of pasteboard or other suitable sheet material'in the form, as shown in Fig. 6-that is, in the shape of a rectangle, a, with a series of three or other proper number of extensions, b b b,

.an elastic band or loop, f, to slip around the package and hold down the tongue.

The package so made, after having been charged with coins, as half-dollars for ine stance, is to have the tongue turned down' upon the charge, after which the elastic loop is tobe slipped around the whole, it with the tongue serving to keep the coins in place in the package.

I claiml. As a new manufacture, the coin-package, substantially asdescribed, consisting of the tongue, Land the piece a, and its extensions b, all arranged and combined as se't forth, the said tongue being provided witha fasteningband or elastic loop, as and for the purpose specified.

2. The body-part of the package, as made of the piece a, and its extensions b, arranged, applied, and secured together as set forth.
