The object of the invention is to provide a substantially cylindrical paper finishing edge roll or cord with an efiective means of attachment, such means being available independent or any covering whatsoever, thereby avoiding the usual attaching cover or case.
A preferred embodiment of my invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:

The cordis made up of tough paper, preferably a plurality of strips being twisted and crumpled together and delivered through a proper die to make round cor-d. Then the round cord is introduced into a further forming die which embraces and compresses with very heavy pressure the attaching rib so that the cord has a main body portion 1 and a heavily compressed attaching rib 2. At intervals through the attaching rib are perforations 3. In the size of cord illustrated these I are about one inch apart.

I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
1. A cord or edge roll formed of strips of paper twisted and molded together with an attaching rib formed integral therewith by molding and condensing from the body of the cord and suitablyperforated.
2. A cord or edge roll formed of strips of paper molded together with an attaching rib formed integral therewith by molding and condensing from the body of the cord and suitably perforated.
3. A cord or'edge roll of strips or" paper twisted and molded together with an attaching rib formed integral therewith by molding and condensing from the body of the cord.
4. A cord or edge roll formed of strips of paper molded together with an attaching rib formed integral therewith by molding and condensing from the body oi the cord.
5. A cord or edge roll of paper twisted and molded and having an attaching rib formed integral with one side of a more condensed texture.
6. A cord or edge roll of paper molded and having an attaching rib formed integral with one side of a more condensed texture.
7. A cord of fiber material molded and having an attaching rib, formed integral with one side, of a condensed texture.
