Referring to the drawings, iii which similar 'characters of reference are employed to indicate corresponding or similar parts throughout the several figures in the drawings z- Fig. 1 is a plan view of the blank showing one form of the box; vFig. 2, is a view in perspective showing the box formed by the folding of the blank of Fig. 1 andv Fig.` 3, is a sectional view taken on line S-Bof'Fig 2. p v
Referring to the drawings more specifically, the numeral 10, designates a single blank from which, the triangular box shown in Fig.' 2, is formed. This blankl, may be formed from any suitable material such for example as relativel-yzstiff ypaper stock, and comprises a triangular bottom member 11., two rectangular side members 12, andv 13, a 75 triangular top member 14.-, a rectangular end member 15, tucks k16, 17, and 18', provided on the endsv of the rectangular side members 12, and 13, and tucks 19, and 20, provided on the sides of said side member 13 and 15. The triangular membersy 11, and 111, are provided with overlapping flaps 21, and 22, respectively, said flaps being 'provided at the central portions thereof with suitable locking tongues 23, and 24,' for a purpose to be hereinafter. described.
' The endand'side members 12, and 15, are formed on *the 'sides of the bottom' member 11, .and kthe top or cover member 14, is formed .at the outer longitudinal edge of 9G the end member 12. The end member 13, is formed at the base of the top member 14. rlhe tucks'lb, and 17, are formed with the ends of the side members 12, and 13, at the side of the top member 14, and the tuck 18, is formed with the other end of the side member 13. The tuck 19, is formed at lthe outer longitudinal edgeo-fftl'ie side member 13, andthe tuck 20', is formed at the' outer longitudinalvedge of the side member 15.
The flap 21, is provided at one side of the base member 11, and the flap 22, is provided at an opposite side of the top or cover member 14. Each of said iiaps 21, and 22, is provided with a locking tongue 23, and 24, respectively, said tongue being formed with the free longitudinal edges of said flaps. A lock slot 25, for the tongue 24, is formed between the bottom member 11, and the end member 15, and a second lock slot 26, for the tongue 23, member 14, and the end member 13.
The blank 10, is scored or cut creased to form folding lines A, between the bottom member 11, and the adjacent side members 12, and 15; folding lines B, between the end members 12, and 13, and the top member 14; folding lines C, between the iiaps 21, and 22, and their adjacent members 11, and 14; folding lines D, between the end members 13, and 15, and their respective tucks 19, and 20; folding line E, between the side members 12, and 13, and their respective end tucks 16, 17 and 18; and folding lines F, between the flaps 21, and 22, and their respective tongues 23, and 24.
To form the box shown in the drawings, from the blank 10, the sides 12, and 15, are folded on the lines A. r1`he tucks 20, and 16, are then folded on the lines D, and E, respectively. The top member 14, is next folded on the line B, and unto the tuck 20, intoa position in which it is parallel with the bottom member 11.
