:Referring to the accompanying drawings f bynumerals, 1 indicatesa window frame, and 60 2 a rod or track adapted to receive suitable carriages to which curtains or portires' may besecured. The rod 2 is old and well-known and heretofore was held in place by screws extending therethrough into the .window` frame 1. As shown in Figure 4, the rod 2is provided with atop portion -merging into curved portions 4 and 5, said curved portions having what may be termed runways 6y and 7 On the runways 6 and .7 the wheels ofthe carriages are mounted, and to these carriages are secured draperies or curtains. ,Thisv form of rod and` carriages is old and well-known. Heretofore the portion 3 was provided with apertures through ywhich screws extended, and in applying these screws quite often the screwdriver would bend ordent theV edges 8 and 9. This prevented apropermovement kof the carriages, andconsequently, itrequired present invention 'one or more fasteners 10 hold the rods in place, as shownin Figure 1. InV Figure 1 and also in Figure 2 thefastener 10 is-arranged near each end of .the` rod 2,
but ifi desired, a large numberof fasteners maybe.. used without departing from. the spiritof .the invention. `As 'shown in Figure 5, each-fastener isprovided withjaplateor base 11 Iadapted to lit flatwise against the ing adaptednto accommodatethe retaining erably resilient and slightly smaller than the curved portions 4 and 5, soithat whenin op# l erativeposition, as shownin'Figure 2 they will grip the side portions 4'an'd 5 and there# byhold. the rod-2 egen'stmevementpPref-` 100 erably two fasteners are used for each rod, v though a larger number may be used, if desired. After the fasteners are secured in place by suitable means, as for instance, screws 14,v they yare turned to a position substantially at right (ngle's' tof the space reserved for' the rod a'nd'then the rod is placed'in position,
Vafter whichV the fasteners are rotated in a reverse direction )untilftliey grip v.the ',rod, as W Ashownin Figure 2. In Figures 1l to la Wellknown, efficient vrod has been disclosed, and
