a continuous wire which is bent to provide suitablehorizontal off-set portions 4 intermediate the base 1 and the free end portion of each frame and an inturned end portion 5 to which one side of a central tray 6 is secured. The portions of each supporting frame which are secured to the base 1 may be in the formof loops 7, and a screw 8 or other securing 'device may be passed through each loop 7. and threaded within the base insuch a manner as tohnnly connect each supporting 7 frame to the basei and hold it against turning relative thereto. This method of securing the supporting frames to the base provides means forfirmly securing the frames againstturning movement relative'tothe base when the screws 8 are tightenedand alsoprovides means whereby the supporting frames 3 may be turned relative to the base upon loosening i the screws 8, when it is desired to fold the supportingframes uponthe base after the removal of the trays in order to store the structure ina limited space.
- Each supporting frame 3 is preferably provided with ofi-set portions 4: intermediate the base 1 and theinturned end portion5 of the frame, the off-set portions 4 of each frame being. oppositely positioned vrelative to each other for. supporting the opposite end portions 9'of end trays 10. which are spaced from thebase memberl and the central tray 6 in a horizontal plane located intermediate the base 1' and the central tray 6.- The end trays 10' may be formedof any suitable ordesired ma terial, butI have shown them in the i'llustrated embodiment of the invention as formed of suitable thin metah and so shaped as tobe capable of holding one or more table appliancessuch; as salt and pepper containers 12 and 13, or other condiment containers la e The opposite end portions 9 of each end i tray may be looped about'theoff-set portions eL-of the supporting frame-as shown at the right. in thefigure to firmly secure the'end tions -9 of thewtrays may be formed tojre-' movably engage the .oif-setportion 4} of the m-it the ready removal of each tray as shown The central tray 6 may be formed of any suitable and desired material, but as shown is formed from thin metal, and may be made of such size and shape as to receive a plurality of napkins 15 which may be held against accidental removal from the tray by a suitable holding member 16.
Portions 17 of the opposite sides of the central tray 6 may be turned closely'about the inturned ends of the supporting. frames, as shown in connection with the end tray at the right of the figure, or the'portions 17 of the opposite sides of the central tray may be formed to removablyengage over the in turned ends of the supporting frames whereby the central. tray 6 may be readily placed upon or removed from engagement with the inturned ends 5 of the supporting frames, asshown in connection with the end I I tray located a; the left of the figure.
A. bail member 19 may be provided'having outturned ends 20 adapted to'pass through openings'Ql formed in the side portions 17' of the central tray, wh'ereby the bail ends may bejcaused to engage the side portions 17 of the central tray. andiextend about the adjacent portions offthe inturned ends of the supporting frames for ,moving'the display stand from place to place.
