IMPROVEMENT'IN BILLIARD-TABLE- LEVELERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 179,740, dated July 11, 1876; application filed April 26, 1876. I
To all whom it mayconc'e-rn:
Be-it known that I, J. CLARK STANTON, of Hutchinson, in the county of Jeflerson, Territory of Colorado, have invented a new and useful invention for Leveling Billiard-Tables,
Pool-Tables, PigeouHole Tables, and Ba-gatelle Tables, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
The object of my invention is to level the tables by applying to each leg a screw asa permanent fixture.
The machine is shown in perspective in Figure 1,alsoin vertical section, Fig. 2;an d it capstan-head one-half its thickness, thereby giving the piece sufficient elevation to insure freedom of motion to the capstan-head when the machine is applied to the table.
The spuds at ffff and 9, Fig. 1, are for the purpose of being pressed into the leg of the table, to prevent the slipping ot'the piece D when the capstan-head isrevolved.
The sharp spuds at h h h, Fig. 2, are to prevent the slipping of the base A upon the floor. This manner of applying the screw is shown at L, Fig. 3.
I claim The combination, in a billiard-table leveler,
of the base A, provided with spuds h h, the
capstan block B, with screw V and recessed upper face, and the circular pieceD, fitting said recessed face, and having spuds ffff, all combined and arranged to operate as described.
