This invention relates to a simple device for curling hair its object being to provide an improved construction applicable readily to any type of heating appliance commonly 5 in use in hair dressing establishments, which can be cheaply manufactured and which can be sold as a separate entity quite apart from the heating medium which may be electric heaters, gas heaters or otherwise.

According to the present invention ahair curling device is provided which comprises an outer tube open at both ends adapted to be closed at one endby means of a plug or stop per having a perforation therein for the escape of steam and a constriction or groove at the other end upon which fits a flexible tubular member and within said outertube is adapted to removably fit a perforated inner tube which is provided with an abutment adapted to contact with the interior of the outer tube, said inner tube being covered with a layer or layers of heat resisting absorbent material which is permanently secured to said inner tube. V

The steam formed in this manner escapes through the apertures in the inner tube A and passes out through the open'ends A and D of the two tubes. V v V The open ends of the tubes A and D may have a stopper K with a perforation therein for the exit of the steam.

I claim:

1. A hair curling device comprising an outer tube open at both ends, a stopper adapted for closing one end of said tube, a perforation in said stopper, a constriction or groove at the other end of said outer tube, a rubber tubular member adapted to fit onto said constriction, a removable perforated innertube adapted to'fit within said outer tube and a layer of heat resisting absorbent material permanently secured to the exterior of said inner tube. o
