IM PROVEMENT IN HORSESHOE-FADS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 179,020, dated J 11110 20, 1876; application filed May 29, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DANIEL W. HORNE, of
Lowell, countyof' Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented an Improved Pad- Snpport for the Hoofs of Horses, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to provide a convenient and durable pad support for the hoofs of horses by the combination, with the plate A, of the bar 0, having lug B, and strap D, as shown in partial section in Figure 1 and inunder-side view, Fig. 2. I
Fig. 1 shows longitudinal section through shoe and pad-support, with the strap D in position on the hoof E, a portion ofthe hoof being broken away to show the lug B engaging the shoe at F. Fig. 2 shows the shape which I prefer to give the plate A, which is generally that of the inside edge of the shoe, either setting within the shoe, or slightly overlapping it, as at G.

I claim-' A hoof-pad support consisting of the plate A, the bar 0, having lug B, and the strap D, substa-ntiallyas and for the purpose described.
