IMPROVEMENT IN DOOR-PLATE ATTACHMENTS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 178,699, dated June 13, 1876; application filed API'H'QB, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, JOHN W. YOUNG,
' CHARLES A.REED,andW1LLmM H. SHAFER,

The object of this invention is to provide for public use an improved means of securing to doors door-plates made of cast, molded, or pressed glass, metal, or other material; and the inventionconsists in the employment of a peculiarly-tbrmed bolt, in combination with the door and door-plate, substantially as I will now proceed to set forth.
In the drawings, A represents the doorplate, made of any suitable material, and provided at the ends with recesses a, which embrace about half the body of the fasteningbolts, and with countersinks c, which receive A hole is through which extends the bolt which is secured on the inner side of the door by means of a. screw-nut, a, or the equivalent thereof.

We claim as our invention 1. The bolt M, having the screw-nut n, and the head m. m, constructed substantially as described.
2. The combination of the bolt M m m n, with the plate A, having the recess a, and countersink c, substantially as described.
