Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. [78,085, dated May 30, 1876; application filed March 6, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY SMITH. of Gananoque, Province of Ontario, Canada, have invented a new and Improved Stop-Action for Organs and Melodeons, of which the following is a specification:
My invention consists of a cam-lever, pivoted to the key-board, and connected to the stop, and so arranged as to act directly on the valve or mute, making a simpler and cheaper contrivance, and at the same time more positive and direct than any now in use.
Figure l is a sectional elevation of a portion of an organ, showing my improved action, the section being taken on line m m, Fig. 2, and Fig. 2 is a front elevation.
