The container has four walls and a floor and maybe provided with a vremovable on hinged top although the latter has been found unnecessary. The walls generally indicated by the numeral 1 are preferably formed from a sin le piece of sheet metal bent around as indicated in Figure 1 and in the back wall 2 there is provided one or more, apertures 3 by meansof which the container may be secured in place on a building wall. By this construction it will therefore be seen that a simple yet effective container for towels is provided and that a coin receptacle having a simple securement is likewise provided in keeping with the use of the container. That is to say, this device is intended for use in public or semi-public lavatories on an honor system. In other words, anyone desiring to use a towel in the lavatory will take one from the container and subsequently deposit the soiled towel in a receptacle provided therefor, for which service no pay is expected. On the other hand, as with travellers, should a clean dry towel be desired taken away for use elsewhere than in said lavatory, this can readily be done but it is intended that the honor of the traveller will cause him to deposit the requisite coin in this device for each towel so removed. The amount of money to he so deposited is intended to cover only the cost of the towels taken away.

It is obvious that those skilled in the art may vary the details of construction as well as arrangements of parts without departing from the spirit of the invention, and therefore it is not desired to be limited to the foregoing except as may be required by the clan'ns.

What is claimed is 1. A container for towels the same comprising a plurality of walls one of which is provided with an opening through which the towels can be removed, a floor supported by said walls, a coin box in. said container se cured to said floor and positioned to receive a coin inserted through one of said walls, and a cover for said box having portions extending beneath said floor for securing said cover. 7

A container for towels the same comprising plurality of walls one of which is provided with an opening through which the towels can be removed as well as a coih slot, a floor supported by said walls, a coin box in said container positioned to receive a coin inserted through said slot, and a cover for said box said cover extending above said slot within the container and provided with locking means extending through said floor.

A container for towels the same comprising a plurality of walls one of which is provided with an opening through which the towels can be removed as well as a coin slot, a floor supported by said walls, a coin box in said container positioned to receive a coin inserted through said slot, and a cover for said box said cover having a top disposed above said slot to cover the same within said container, and sides extending to said floor one of said sides permitting free passage of a coin from said slot into said box and other of said sides having means penetrating said floor for securing said Cover.

A container for towels the same comprising a plurality of walls one of which is provided with an opening through which the towels can be removed as well as a coin slot, a floor supported by said walls, a coin box in said container positioned to receive a coin inserted through said slot, and a cover for said box said cover having a top disposed above said slot to cover the same within said container, and sides extending to said floor and by which the cover is supported one of said sides permitting free passage of a coin from said slot into said box and other of said sides having opposed means penetrating said floor for securing said cover.
