This invention relates to an improved torni of hat holder for use in a travelling case.

The object of this invention is to devise a simple torni ot structure which can be con- 5 veniently inserted into or removed from the travelling caserand which will serve eiliciently as a means of carrying hats without danger of meshing the saine and at the saine time perniit other Wearing apparel to be convenlO iently placed in the case about the hat holder. As above suggested, the remaining space in the ease about the hat holder iseinployed for other Wearing apparel which can be packed entirely about the hat holder. in anderst-anding ot this particular arrangement ot the hat holder Wit-h respect to the side Walls of the case will explain the diilereuce in length between the brace members l5 and 1G; and 'for the same reason, the brace ineml'ierf: l5 are attached tothe ring 1Q at pointswhich are 5 closer together than the points of attachment of the brace members 16.

The present form of hat holder; may be manufactured and installedV originally asa part of the travelling case it leaves the m nianufacturerso as te;Y be recognized as part of the standard equipment of this type of case; or, if so desired, the hat holder may be manufactured and sold as a separate attachment which may be placed by the purchaser )5 in a travelling case which is adapted to re ceive the same but which was not originally supplied therewith. In case the hat holder should be manufactured and sold as a separate article, the brace members l5 and 1G may fr; be made suliciently long so as tobe capable of use in any and all sizes of travelling cases, and the ends of the brace membersll andlt may be shortened accordingV to the length required for the particular size of case.

25 Thus, I have devised a comparatively simple anl inexpensive form of hat holder Wh ich is capable of all the results desired and which possesses advantages obvious to those Who are skilled in the art to which thies invention re- 30 lates. f

The present disclosure is merely 'for purposes of'illustration and this structure may be modified without departing from thewspirit of the present invention. Any and all such :u1 mediicati'ons are intended to Ybe comprel hended byY the following claims.

A hat holder comprising' co-axially arranged upper and lower rings, means for cone nectingr said rings in spaced relation to each other, and brace meinlzers connected to said lower ring and extending therefrom so as to terminate in the corners ol a travelling case, said parts being so constructed and arranged if that said rings will occupy spaced relation to the side Walls lof: the travelling; caseso that hats may be nested wit-hin said rings and other clothing may be placed about the saine. 2. A hat holder comprising co-axially arm ranged upper and lower rings, means for connecting said rings in spaced relation to each other. and brace members cmineced to said lower ringr and extending therefrom so as to terminate 1in the corners of a travellinfig case, :..i the brace members on one side ot idringrs being shorter than those on the other eide, and saidrshorter brace members bcing'connected to said bottom ring; at points farther apart from each other than the points ol' attachment m of the other of said brace members.
