,This invention will be better understood by reference to the accompanying drawings in which: i
Fig. 1 is a fragmental back View of a shirt with a collar in perspective and partly in section, illustrating the forming parts of the invention.
Fig. 2 is a similar View to Fig. 1, the collar being omitted, the neckband being developed and the additional neckband being turned down.
Referring now to the drawings, 1 represents the body of the shirt and 2 the neckband. A smaller additional neckband 3 is attached to the main neckband 2 at the ontside and lower part of the height thereof by stitching the lowcrend of said additional ne'ckband, as shown. The upper end of the additional neckband 3 is turned down towards the inside, as shown. The collar 4 is turned up towards the outside at its lower end, as shown.
Upon wearing, the collar 4 is inserted between the main neckband 2 and the additional neckband 3, so that the turned up end of said collar engages with the turned down and of said additional neckband, thereby the connection between the shirt and the collar being secured without employing any back button in co-action with outwardly extending tendency of the main neckband due to the wearer's neck and inwardly forclng tendency of the additional neckband due to the necktie.
Having now particularly described and ascertained the nature of my said invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, 1 claim The combination of a shirt, a neckband upon said shirt, a supplemental neckband extending parallel to said first mentioned neckband having the free end thereof turned inwardly and downwardly and a collar having the lower edge thereof turned outwardly and Serial No. 368,632.
