primary object of the invention is the provision of means, and of a process for carrying out the invention whereby a main balloon or inflated elastic body may be used to simulate the body and head portions of a human being,

, and especially contemplates the attachment of portions simulating limbs to the body portion. Thus in carrying out my invention, I use for example one large balloon which is inflated with air or gasin usual manner and fashioned to simulate the body and head portion of ahuman being, and two smaller balloons are inflated andthen attached to the body portion of the main balloon to simulate arms. T he toy is provided with a base upon i which it is adapted to rock or oscillate, and I the arms or limbs are attached to the body portion in such manner that they are free to swing with relation to the body. vention consists in certain featuresof construction and combinations and arrangements of parts as will hereinafter be more fully set forth and claimed.

In carrying out my invention, I use a rub her balloon which of course is elastic and adapted to be inflated, the mouthpiece 2 0eing used to blow airinto the balloon for QX' panding it to the general shape indicated in Fig. 1. After the balloon has been inflated, a knot 3 is tied in the mouthpiece to prevent escape of air. Between the two notches 8 and 9, a hole or opening 10 is provided in the baseboard and it will be apparent that the knotted mouthpiece is passed through the opening 10 from above and then clinched within the notch 9 at the rear for the purpose of anchoring the balloon and also to'prevent its deflation. The balloon as thus supported may have almost a universal movement oroscillation with relation to the baseboard as indicated by the dotted arrows at the top of Fig. 1. i The body portion of the balloon is provided with limbs, or members simulating limbs, as for instancethe arms 11 and 12, but it will be understood that otherlimbs or projecting members maybe used in conneotion with thebody portion 1 or with the head portion 6. The two arms 11 and12 are fashioned from smaller balloons by inflating the balloons through the mouthpieces 13 and tying the knots 14 therein to prevent deflation.
