The invention relates to a toy repeating pistol, which may also serve the purpose of givingan alarm or to give a signal in starting races.
According to this invention an ammunition chamber is provided in the back end of the barrel of the pistol for the explosive ammunition plates, which are stored in the magazine in succession one after another'. Back of the magazine vertical guides are provided in which at every pull of the trigger, a loading and ejecting member is moved upwardly which pushes the hindmost ammunition plate upwardly onto the pan, where it is struck by the cock and exploded. Hereby, at every pull of the trigger, the new ammunition plate pushes the previously exploded one further upward, so that it falls out of the pistol.
'ln the accompanying drawing the invention is illustrated in one form by way of eX- ample, in which Figure 1 is a vertical cross section through the pistol with all parts in a resting position, Fig. 2, the same cross section showing all parts in positions when the pistol is cocked, immediately before the trigger is pulled, Fig. 3, the same cross section with the parts in their positions after shooting, before the trigger has been released, Fig. 4 a plan view, Fig. 5 a side elevation, Fig. 6 a vertical cross section with a view toward the guides and the loading and ejecting member, Fig. 7, a perspective view of the cock lifter.
1 is a casing composed of two halves, 2 is the barrel, which is inserted into the casing. The piston 3, which is open in front and closed behind by means oic the plate 4, is arranged in a sliding manner in the barrel. inside of the piston and the barrel a spiral spring 5 is provided, which rests against the cap 6 and keeps the piston constantly pressed 'sie backward. On the right side of the barrel a longitudinal slot 7 is provided, the forward end of which has a wider cut out portion 8. Fastened to the piston 3, is a push-button 9, which slides in the slot 7 and is adapted to push the piston forward, when the magazine 10 on the back end of the barrel is to be opened. In order to keep the magazine open, the piston, which has been pushed forward,
is turned slightly by means of the push-button, the latter then rests in the wider cut out portion 8, and is held there firmly. The magazine serves as a receptacle for about 8 or 10 ammunition plates 11. After putting these into the magazine 10 from the side, the piston 3 is liberated, which then presses the am .munition constantly backward. The hindmost ammunition plate is now always being pressed into the guides 12 and held there by means of the overlapping backward branches 13. K The "loading and ejecting member '14 Y which moves from below upward in these guides, is being constantly drawn downward, by means of the spiral spring 15. On the reverse side of the loading and ejecting member 14 a lug' 16 is provided which is composed of two parallel wedge shaped parts. The opening 17 which is located underneath the lug in the loading and ejecting member is provided for engagement with the inner end 18 of the trigger v19. Vhen the trigger 19 is pulled, the loading and ejecting member moves upwards in its guides and carries the hindmost ammunition plate along with it and brings it onto the pan 20, where at the point 21 it is struck by the hammer 22 of the cock 23 and the charge in the ammunition plate eX- plodes. During the upward movement of the loading and ejecting member 14, the lug 16 presses the cock lifter 24 upwardly against the cooking spring 25, whereby this spring is put under tension and the pistol is cocked. Immediately after the lug 16 in its upward movement, has passed the lower end of the cock lifter 24, the cock-hammer strikes and. the ammunitionexplodes. l/Vhen the trigger 19 is released the lug 16, in its downward movement, passes over the receding cock lifter 24, which is under elastic spring pressure, so that it returnsvimmediately and with the next succeeding pull of the trigger the pistol is cocked. l. toy pistol, also an alarmror starters pistol, comprising, in combination, a casing, a barrel inserted into said casing, a piston open in front and closed behind with the plate adapted to slide in said barrel, a spiral spring resting against a cap provided on the end of said barrel and adapted to keep said piston pressed back, a longitudinal slot having a wider cut out portion on its forward end, a push button fastened to said piston and adapted to slide in said slot and to be held in said wider cut out portion, an ammuition chamber adapted to contain a plurality of an'miunition plates, a loading and ej ecting member adapted to be moved up and down in guides having backwardly overlapping branches, said loading and ejecting member havingP lug` composed of two parallel wedge shaped parts and an opening underneath said lug adapted to engage with the lever arm of a trigger, a spiral spring fastened on one end to the casing inside of its handle and on the other end the lower end of the said loading and ejecting member, and means for cooking the pistol automatically after firing, substantially as described.

In a toy pistol, a casing including a barrel, 'a loading and ejecting member movable in the easing, a trigger pivoted in said casing, a hammer also pivoted in said casing, a. wedge-shaped member carried by the loading and ejecting member, and a relatively movable lifting member carried by the hammer engageable by the wedge-shaped member whereby to retract the hammer incident to actuation of the loading and ejectin g member.

In a toy pistol, a casing including a barrel, a loading and ejecting member movable in the casing, a trigger pivoted in said casing, a .iammer also pivoted in said casing, a projection carried by the loading and ejecting member, a lifting member movably mounted on the hammer and engageable by said projection whereby to retract the hammer incident to actuation of the loading and ejecting member, and spring means normally Vacting upon the hammer to move the latter to striking position and cooperating with the lifting member to normally maintain the latter in position for engagement by the projection.
