IMPROVEMENT IN DOME-SUPPORTS FOR CI STERNS.
Specification fcrrning part of Letters Patent No. 176,084, dated April 11, 1876; application filed March 6, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADAM SNIDER, of Pierceton, Kosciusko county, Indiana, have invented a new and Improved (Jone-Arch, of which the following is a specification:
My invention consists of a cone'arch skeleton or frame on which to build cement or other arched covers for cisterns and the like, the said frame being constructed with a basering and arch in sections, contrived for putting them up and taking them down conveniently, to take them out through the manhole of the arch after the latter is completed.
Figure 1 is a sectional elevation of my improved cone-arch. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the base-ring.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A is the base'ring, contrived in two sections, with ends B lapped and bolted together by bolts 0, which can readily be put in and taken out, to take the ring apart for taking it out of the man-hole D at the top of the cistern E,
after it is completed. F represents the conesections, which have loops G along one edge on the inside, and tongues H along the other edge, except at one joint, where both sections have the loops, and are fastened by keys I, which can be taken out to take the sections apart after the arch is done. These sections rest on the wedge J of the base-ring, so that when disconnected by the keys I they can be readily taken down.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure'by Letters Patent- The cone-frame composed of the detachablyconnected base-ring A and the detachable cone-sections F, having alternate tongues H and loops G, also the guard-loops G and keys at I, substantially as specified.
ADAM SNIDER. Witnesses:
