Figure 1 represents a front elevation of my improved receptacle. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the sides, back, and door when folded up. Fig. 3 represents atop view of Fig. 1, with the top removed. Fig. 4 is a top view of Fig. 2. Fig. 5 represents an elevation with the front frame and doors removed, showing the arrangement of thes-interior of the receptacle, and the manner in which the sides and partition are let into the top and bottom boards and secured thereto.
A represents the top ,3 B, the doors G O, the side standards or frames, and D T the bottom. The sides 0 O are hinged to the doors B B, with the hinges on the outside. The edges of the side frames 0 and doors B that are hinged together are beveled so as to allow the doors to open out, or be folded in against the sides 0 4), as shown in Figs. 2, 3, and 4. The sides 0 O are securely fastened to the front side frames 0 0, and are hinged to each beveled side of the back P by the hinges R It, as shown in Figs. 3, 4, and 5. When taken apart, the sides 0 0, side frames 0 0, doors B B, and back B, are folded, as shown in Figs. 2 and 4..
1 am aware that three-sided cases have been made, in which the two wall-sides are hinged directly to each other at their rear edges, and detachably connected to the door-posts at their front edges, the doors beiiig hinged to said posts so as to swing outwardly only, and-I do not claim to be the inventor of said device; but I What I claim as new, and wish to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The sides 0 0, having their beveled rear edges attached to the beveled edge back P, and securely fastened to the side frames 0 0, said side frames constructed with beveled edges at the hinge-joint, and united to the beveled edges of the doors B B in the manner shown, for the purpose set forth and described.
