This invention relates to a shirt and trousers holder. An object of the invention is to provide a device of the character adapted when in use to hold the tail as Well as the whole front part of the body of a shirt in its proper place and at the same time hold the front part of the trousers in place.

My invention contemplates a shirt and trousers holder which may be attached to the 0 inside of the right fly of the trousers, one part being sewed or otherwise attached to the fly. This anchoring means obviously may be formed with the trousers when they are made. I also provide an adjusting member in the form of an elastic band, which may be adjusted to suit the wearer and upon the elastic hand between its ends a hook or catch is placed in a manner that it may slide up and down upon said band for the purpose of adjustment during use and this hook or catch is adapted to be caught over. a button on the shirt so that it will hold the shirt down and in place.

Fig. 5 is a fragmentary detail view. Referring to the drawings, my invention comprises an anchor member or strap 10 of thin, non-elastic material adapted tobe fastened in anydesired manner, as for example, by stitching or the like, on the inside of the right fly 11 of the trousers.

The anchoring means in the fly or the mem- 4 ber 10 is provided with glove type fastening elements 12 but which may be of any desired character, preferably, however, formed rela tively thin in order not to form unnecessary bulk. To the anchor member 10 I attach an adjusting member which may be an elastic strap 13 which has its end portions provided with fastening elements 14 for cooperation with the fastening elements 12'on the member 10. The fastening elements 14 may be mounted on a thin elongated body 17 from; which they project. Slidably mounted upon the elastic strap 13 is a catch or button engaging element 15 adapted to be slipped over a button 16 on the shirt and thus hold the shirt down in the proper position-and at the same time maintain the trousers also in proper posi-, 7 tion. With this construction the elastic strap 13 being fastened at opposite ends to the nonelastic band 10 will slide freely through the catch 15 and accommodate itself to the posture of the wearer.

It will be obvious to those skilled in the art that various changes may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention and I therefore-do not limit myself to what is shown in the drawings and described in the. specification but only as set forth in the appended claims;

Anattachment for fastening togetherthe- 7 shirt and trousers comprising anchoring means for attachment to one and adetachable fastening element for engagement with the other, and a band slidably engaging the dey tachable fastening element and having its;;;so ends provided with spaced fasteners for detachable connection with said anchoring means. 7

A shirt and trousers holder comprising anchoring means for attachment to'the fly offset? the trousers, an adjusting member provided with cooperating fastening elements for selective detachable engagement with said anchoring means, and a shirt button engaging mem ber carried" bytheadjusting" member betweemoo the fastening elements thereon permitting the device to accommodate itself to the posture of the wearer. r

8. A shirt and trousers holder comprising anchoring means forattachment to the fly of the trousers, an adjusting member having spaced connections with said anchoring means and a shirt button engaging member slidable onsaid adjusting member between said spaced connections,whereby the device may adjust itself to the posture of the wearer.
