.To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY L. GARRING- TON, of Gharlestown, in the county of Portage and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Riding Attachments for Plows, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specification, reference beinghad to the accompanyingdrawings.
The nature of my invention is a slide to be I attached to aplow and drawn in the furrow behind the plow, and upon which the plowman may stand and ride. j
Figure 1 is a view of the attachment. Fig. 2 is a vertical section.
The slide a, upon which the plowman stands, should not be wider than the furrow made by the plow. The front end of the slide is curved upward, and it is preferable that the sides should be slightly raised to prevent it from running under the soil upturned by the plow. It may be made either of Wood or thin metal. It is to be attached, by means of the elevis c, to the cross-rod, or'other suitable point at or near the rear end of the plow. The slide is connected with the plow by the rod 8 and the to the tubular rod 0.
