This invention relates to new and useful improvements in combined paper sack and twine holder particularly adapted for use in business establishments, and aims to provide a device of this character wherein a plurality of varying sized bags may be supported thereby, and whereby ready access may be secured to a bag of any predetermined size without disturbing adjacent bags of another size. Furthermore improved means is provided for maintaining the cone of twine in proper and rigid position so that the twine may be taken therefrom without the same becoming tangled, and there is little or no liability of knocking the cone of twine upon the floor. I

Furthermore, the strap members 5 of the units are arranged in overlapping relation so that there will be an overlapping relation of the batches of bags for conserving space.

At theupper end of each row of bag holders there is provided a holder for the. conventional twine cone B, each holder consisting of a narrow metallic strap 12 so bent or formed at its lower end as to provide an upwardly extended inverted Y-shaped supporting pin 13, the legs thereof diverging toward their lower ends so as to frictionally engage the central bore through the twinev coneias disclosed in Figure 1 to prevent the accidental displacement of the same with respect thereto. The lower end of the outer s5 leg of this member 13 is provided with an outwardly bent abutment l l to support the lower end of the cone as disclosed. The upper end of each strap 12 is hingedly secured to a small plate 15 which is secured 9.90 to the standard 5 adjacent the upper end thereof, and in vertical alinement with the plate, 9 of the strap 5 of the bag supporting unit, see Figure 1. At the point of hinged connection with each plate 15 each strap 12 (.05 is, formed with an outwardly extending finger 12 having an opening in its outer end through which the cord is guided.

As an optional feature the standard 5 may be equipped with a suitable pocket normally 2100 closed by any hinged or sliding lid, said pocket adapted for the reception of a ball or cord.

It will thus be seen that I have provided a novel, simple, and extremely useful holder for paper bags and twines particularly adapted for use in commercial houses, and even though I have herein shown and described the invention as consisting of certain detail structural elements, it is to be understood that minor changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the appended claim.

Having thus described the invention, what I claim as new is In a device of the character described, a base member, a plurality of article supporting units arranged in overlapping relation and mounted on said base member, one of said overlapping units comprising a strap bent upwardly at its lower end to provide an inverted Y-shaped element, the legs of which are formed in converging relation, one of said legs terminating in an upturned flange ortion; an outwardly extending finger fastened to the other end of the strap, and a plate hingedly secured to said article supporting unit and adapted for engagement with said base, said supporting unit being adapted to constitute means forsupporting a cone of cord on said base member.
