This invention relates broadly to cans and pails, and more specifically to a can or pall of slip cover type. L

The primary object of the invention is to provide a can of the character employed as containers for non-liquid products, having a readily removable slip cover and embodying sim le means whereby the cover is retained agamst chance displacement upon the can body. s

In applying the cover, the lugs are entered within the can body through the recesses 6, following which the cover is slightly rotated relative to the can bod tioning the lugs in closely under ying relation to the roll 2 at points located laterally with respect to said recesses, as shown in the drawings.
