One of the objects of the invention is-to provide a simple, practical and advantageous construction of Fourdrinier machine.
Another object of the invention is to provide a F ourdrinier machine in which the table may be bodily removed in a sidewise manner to permit application of a new wire and may 1 also be shaken laterally to improve the fiber Another object of t-heinvention is to provide practical and advantageous mechanism permitting these removing and shaking actions.
Another object of the invention is to arrange for the proper cooperation of the table and shaking mechanism.
Other objects of the invention will appear and be pointed out hereinafter.

Referring to the drawings, I show a Fourdrinier machine having a main table portion 1 supporting rolls 2 for the wire 3. An additional or supplemental end portion 1 is also embodied in the machine shown, the same supporting vacuum boxes 5-5 and 66, and having a jointed connection, as by pivot 7, with the main portion 1, and also having rolls 8-8 and 9-9 for the wire.
The table comprising the sections or portions 1 and 1 is adapted for bodily removal in a sidewise manner, to permit the advantageous applicationof a new wire after a used one has been removed. To such end provi-- sion is made for movingthe table out and back sidewise on tracks 11, 12 and 13, the table being shown in normal position in Fig. 2, and moved out on said tracks in Fig. 3. The table is, provided with suitable power mechanism for moving it out and back on said tracks, as for example, an electric motor 15 (Figs. 1 and 5), powerficonnected by spur wheel 16, gear 17, worm 18 and wheel 19 with driving shaft 20 carrying wheel 21 for track 13, said shaft 20 being coupled to shaft 20 carrying wheels 22 and 23 for tracks 11 and 12, respectively. The rear or back 'side of the table is provided with wheels 25-25 (Figs. 2, 4 and 6) for traveling on the tracks 11, 12 and 13, said wheels 25 being preferably constructed, as shown in Fig. 6, with outside portions 2525 for purposes to be described later.
Tracks 11, 12 and 13 are made in two parts and are supported by posts or pedestals 26, 27,
28 and 29. Posts 27 have means such as bolts 30 for adjusting tracks vertically, and other means such as bolts 31 and 32 for adjusting andholdin same in vertical position. Posts 28 have ad ustable members 33 carrying rollers; 33 for supportin faces are inclined so as to raise the table tracks, and bolts 34-34 for vertically a justing members 33 and thereby the tracks; also bolts 3232 slightly from the rails to permit latter to be withdrawn. Posts 27 and 28 are preferably connected together in pairs by cross beams 40.
Thus it will be seen that the entire table may be moved out to permit changing wire by operating motor 15, and then moved back by reversing the motor, front edge of table normally resting with wheels 21, 22 and 23 on tracks 13, 11 and 12, respectively, and rear of table resting with wheels 25 on track surfaces 37 of pedestals 28.
The mechanism for shaking the table dis-. closed herein is shown more particularly in Figs. 7 to 11, inclusive. It includes a series (four are shown, Fig. 1) of upwardly extending reciprocatory or vibratory members 4343 mounted on rock shaft 44, which is supported b bearings 4545 located on the floor, where y shaft 44 is low and vibration is prevented. Upright members 43 are con nected with table section 1 by detachable connections permitting table to be shaken as desired, and also permitting detachment or disconnection of shaking mechanism to allow removal of table in direction away from such mechanism for applying new wire.
The connections between the two middle members 43 and table are shown in Figs. 7 and 9. They comprise straps 51 connected to yokes 52 which are on opposite sides of uprights 43, yoke, members 52 sliding between rolls 53-53, on boxes 54 which enclose uprights 43 and are also connected with straps 51. Boxes 54 are provided with openable sides 55 normally held in. position so as to engage upright 43 by bolt 56 and hand nut 57. By unscrewing latter, side 55 may be swun about pivot bolt 58 so as to open box 54 and allow separation of same from upright 43. The connection for the right hand end member 43 is shown in Figs. 9 and 10. It comprises a strap 51 such as previously described, but same has a pivotal connection 59 with the jointed section 1 of the table, and also a con nection 60 with the shaking section 1 of the table, whereby both sections are shaken. The connection for the left handmost member 43 is shown in Figs. 10 and 11. It comprises a box 61, open at one side and having an inclined side and a connection 63 for the breast roll bearing 64. Section 1 of table is mounted on flexible members 41 whose lower ends are secured to channel members 42, to permit shaking of rolls 2 and wire thereon without shaking the remainder of the table.
Vibratory members 43 are actuated by rocking .of shaft 44 by vertically vibrating arms 47 actuated by reciprocatingmembers 47 controlled by shaft 47" which is turned by gear connection with power shaft 48, so that rotation of latter will vibrate members 43 and so shake table.
Thus the whole section 1 and breast roll also may be shaken as desired and also detached from shaking mechanism to permit removal oftable for applying new wire, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, whereby the machine is provided with a table which can be laterally removed and also shaken and whereby also the proper cooperation of parts is arranged for to permit both actions without one interferfering with the other. Certain subject matter of this application is disclosed and claimed broadly in copending applications of mine Serial Nos. 595,258, filed Oct. 18, 1922; 648,960, 648,961, 648,962 filed July 2, 1923 and 205,006 filedJuly 11, 1927, and hence is not so claimed in this application.
It will be understood that changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
What I claim is:
1. A Fourdrinier machine having a laterally removable table, means for removing the same, and shaking means comprising vibratory members adapted to be connected to and disconnected from the table, said disconnecting means comprising boxes fitted over said vibratory members and having removable sides and means for temporarily fastening said sides in position and straps connected with said boxes and also with the table.
2. A Fourdrinier machine having a laterally removable table provided with laterally removable shaking members, means for removing the same, and shaking means comprising vibratory members adapted to be connected to and disconnected from the table, said disconnecting means comprising boxes fitted over said vibratory members and having removable sides and means for temporarily fastening said sides in position and straps connected with said boxes and also with the table, said straps being connected to the shakable members of the table.
3. A Fourdrinier machine having a laterally removable table provided with laterally removable shaking members, means for removing the same, and shaking means comprising vibratory members adapted to be connected to and disconnected from the table, said disconnecting means comprising boxes fitted over said vibratory members and having removable sides and means for temporarily fastening said sides in position and straps connected with said boxes and also with the table, said straps being connected to the shakable members of the table, the shakable members of the table being mounted on flexible members.
4. A Fourdrinier machine having a laterally removable table provided with laterally removable shaking members, means for removing the same, and shaking means comprising vibratory members adapted to be connected to and disconnected from the table, said disconnecting means comprising boxes fitted over said vibratory members and having removable sides and means for temporarily fastening said sides in position and straps connected with said boxes and also with the table, said straps being connected to the shakable members of the table, the
