Description

4 e. HILBIBT. STOVE-PIPE SHELF.
latented Dec. 21,1875.
INVENTOR ITO-171,283.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFIcn;
GUST. HILBIRT OF MEADVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN STOVE-PIPE SHELVES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No- 171383, dated December 21, 18 5; application filed May 10; 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, GUST. HILBIRT, of the city of Meadville, in the county of Crawford and State of Pennsylvania have invented certain Improvements in Stove-Shelves, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to construct a shelf to be attached to any size stove-pipe that may be desired, and at the same time to be so constructed as to be easily removed therefrom.
Figure 1 represents a top view of my shelf. It ismade in two sections, AA, with a hinge, B. (See sectional view .at Fig. 3.) G is the stove-pipe hole.
Fig. 2 represents the under side of the shelf. 0n the under side are two lugs 0r-ears, D 1), through which a screw-bolt passes. This bolt clamps the two sides of the shelf around the pipe. The pipe-hole 0 represents the largest size hole for pipe used. I then have a series of rings, F F, (shown in vertical section by Figs. 4 and 5, and in horizontal section by Figs. 6 and 7,) to suit the different size stovepipes in use. These rings are constructed in two sections, as shown in the drawing. I
When my shelf is tobe used I select a ring to fit or suit the size pipe to which it is to GUST. HILBIRT.
