My invention relates to an improvement in wheel removers, my general object being to provide a simple device which may be easily utilized to the screw-tin'oaded extremity of an axle s1 .udle and utilized to transmit sharp blows 1-0 the spindle without injury to the screw-threads, thereby jarring the wheel loose on the spindle.

This device comprising a cylindrical body 4- hos a relatively long axial bore 5 in its outer end, a central chamber 6, and a screw-threadcd opening 7 in its inner end. 'lhus with the present device it is not necessary for the operator to exercise caution in attaching the cylinder to the spindle as it may he screwed only part way and still serve to hold and guide'tho plunger properly.
