This invention relates to spinners for game devices. D
An important object of the IHV GHtlOD IS to provide a simple and inexpensive" spinner which, is adapted to be self supporting in a vertical position, and which is provided with novel actuating means.
A further object is to provide novel supporting means for the Wheel and the sp nning means therefor. I
[I further object is to provide a novel formof wheel including stamped out teeth:
adapted to be engaged'by suitable actuating means for spinning the wheel.
A- further object is to provide means associated with the wheel and operative dur ing rotation thereof for making clicking sounds and adapted to act, if desired, as a brake to prevent prolonged rotation of the wheel at each operation thereof.

Referring to the drawings the numeral 10 designates a base preferably formed of sheet metal. The base may be made circular, as shown, and is provided with apair of. spaced parallel stamped out flanges 11 forming guide-ways to receive a horizontal projec-f tion 12 formed at the lower end of a standard or support 13.
The standard 18 also is preferably formed of sheet metal and is provided along one vertical edge intermer liate the ends thereof with a rearwardly bent flange 14, as clearly shown in Figure 8. An actuating member 15 is pivotally connected to the flange 14 as at 16. The actuating member preferably is formed of sheet metal and lies flat againstthe flange 14., the forward or engaging portion of the actuating member being twisted as at 17 for a purpose to be described.

The spinner 2 l-is provided with a plurality of equidistantly spaced circumferentially arranged teeth 28 which are preferably formed by stamping the metal ofthe spinner. These teeth project rearwardly of the spinner andgare adapted to be engaged by the end 17 of the actuating member 15. l
The outer face of the spinner is divided by radial lines 29to form spaces in which are printed or otherwise'applied indicia 30, shown in the present instance as being numerals running'from 1- to 20. Itwill be apparent that any suitable number of divisions may be employechand that any desired indieiaimay be applied thereto. Apointer 31 is secured as at 32 to the upper end of the,

A flexible element 34 is secured at itsupper end to the support 13 as at 35 and has its lower end engaging the teeth of the wheel 83. The operation of the device is as follows:
lVith the parts in the position shown in -Fi 'ures 1, 2 and 3, the engaging end 17 of the actuating member 15 is arranged out: of the path of travel of the teeth 28. To op-. crate the device, it is merely necessary to place the finger upon the outer end of the lever 18 and to depress it with a rapid downward movement. This action moves the rear the link 21, thus swinging the rear end of ion end of the lever 18 upwardly together with the actuating member 15 upwardly. Thus the engaging end 17 will be brought into engagement with the adjacent tooth 28, and the movement will be transmitted to the spinner to cause rotation thereof. The lever 7 and:

It is to be understood that the form of the invention herewith shown and described is to be taken a preferred example of the same and that various changes in the shape, size and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit oi the invention or the scope of the sub joined claims.

1. A. device of the character desci. ed comprising a vertical support, a spinner rotatably niminted on said support adjacent its upper end, an actuating incinber pivotally connected intermediate its ends to said support, a lever pivotally connected intermediate its ends to said support and arranged slidistantially parallel to said actuating member, a link pivotally connected at one end to one end of said actuating member and at its opposite end to one end of said lever, the other end o l said actuating member being; adapted to engage said spinner, the otl end of said lever being provided with a linger piece projecting from said support.

A device of the character described comprising a vertical support, a spinner rotatably mounted on said support adjacent its upper end and provided on its rear face vith a plurality of circularly arranged projections, an actuating ineinber pivotally connectec intermediate its ends to said support and having one end adapted to engage said projections, said actuating; member being: movable to either of two positions with said end thereoi' out of the. path of travel of said projections, a lever pivotally connected intermediate its ends to said support and having comprising a sheet metal base having a pair.
