Our invention relates to one-piece-foldable containers and refers particularly to' containers of this character having two compartments, or containers, therein.

The object of our invention is a single container formed from one-piece blank of .such construction that the several inner compartments have separate top covers and a com-w mon bottom. f It is frequently desirable to have a single carton, or container, capable of carrying two separate commodities, as bottles, so arranged that access may be had to one commodity without disturbing the other.

Further, is is desirable that the commodities may be so positioned within the container that they may be retained from each other, thus reducing lthe possibility of breakage during shipment and handling;

In the use of bottles it is also desirable that theupper portion of the bottles may be determined when the container is closed, thus preventing leakage and ready accessibility to the tops of the bottles for usage.

The device of our invention possesses al1 of the above mentioned, and other, valuable attributes, as will be noted from a consideration of our specification and accompanying drawings.

In the accompanying drawings illustrating one form of the device of our invention, similar parts are designated by similar numerals.

Figure 1 is a perspective view ofone form 35 of the device of our invention.

The particular form of the device of our invention shown in the accompanying drawings comprises a single piece of cardboard cut and scored to form a front 10 having the extended side portion 11 from which is 50 the extended back 12. Extending in the opposite direction from the front 10 is aside portion 13 .and the three inner side portions 14, 15 and 16. All of the above-mentioned members, or portions, are of the same height as the container and the front 10 and the \ba.ck 12 are of the same width as the contalner. Extending from the back 12 is the container locking member 17 capable of placement within thev slot 18 when the container is in folded position. l

The back 12 has the Hap 19 extended into the bottom container locking member 20. The back 12 has also the two spaced inner container cover flaps 21 and 22.

The end member `11 has the'inner upper cover 23 extended into the locking member 24. l e

The front 10 has the spaced inner container cover flaps 25 and 26.`

The end 13 has the container bottom member 27, extended into the locking member 28.

The end 13 has also the inner upper cover 29 extended into the locking member 30.'

The inner side member has the Hap 31 which acts as a bottom for the inner'container.

For purposes of clearness of description the outer container is referred to as the containerv and the inner container formed by the members 13, 14, 15 and 16, is referred to as the inner container.

In order to-form the device the three members 14, 15 and 16 are folded into the positions of three sides of a container, the end 13 forming the othersides.

The members 11 and 12 are then folded and the locking member 17 inserted within the slot 18.'

There is thus formed a container having two compartments within it, one of which has been referred to as the inner container.

The-Hap 31 is then folded `forming a bottom for the inner container, the flap 27 is folded, thelocking member 28 being inserted within the device and the member 19 is folded andthe locking member 20 inserted within the device.

he flaps 21 and 26 are then bent inwardly and the flap 23 is bent inwardly and the locking member 24 inserted within the device. There is thus formed a top for the second compartment, or container, wlthin the container, the top being locked 1n position.

There -is thus formed a container having tw'o inner containers, or compartments, the two inner containers having a common bottom and individual top, the bottom and the top being locked in position.

It is, therefore, possible to open either container and gain access to the contents thereofv without disturbing the other container, while the entire container presents a substantial and closed unit.

We do not limit ourselves to the particular size, shape, number, arrangement or. material of parts as shown and described as these are given simply as a means for clearly describing our invention. J

What we claim is A one-piece foldable container, having two compartments therein, comprising a back member having an integral flap and locking memberat the top thereof, a locking member at one side thereof and two spaced flaps integral vwith the bottom thereof; an end member integral with one side of the back member and having an integral ap and locking member at the bottom thereof; a front member inte ral With one side of the last mentioned en member and having two s aced iaps integral with the bottom thereo g an end member integral with one side of the front member andhaving a a and locking member at each the top and bottom thereof; an inner container side member integral with one side of the last mentioned end member and having a Hap integral with the top thereof, a slot being formed at the jointure of the inner container side member and the last mentioned end member capable of receiving the locking member integral with one side of the back member; an inner container side member integral with one side of the last mentioned inner container side member and an inner container side member integral with one side of the last mentioned inner container side member.
