Havin thus described my invention and the advantages thereof, ll do not Wish to be limited to the details herein disclosed otherwise than set forth in the claims, but what I claim is:
' 1. In a loom for weaving double pile labric, a rotatable cutter, a support for said cutter, and means to reciprocate said support and cutter across the loom between the upper and lower plies of said fabric, said reciprocating means directly engaging and simultaneously rotating said cutter.
2. In a loom for weaving double pile tabric, arotatable cutter, a simport for said cutter, a single cable effective to reciprocate said support across the loom letween the upper and lower plies of said fabric, and means to move said cable alternately in opposite directions, said cable being also effective to retate said cutter by direct engagement therewith as said support is reciprocated.
8. In a loom for weaving double pile fabric, a rotatable cutter, a support for said itter, a fixed guideway in which said support is slidable, guide-rolls on said support, a pulleyonsaid cutter, guide-rolls at the opposite sides of the loom, drum rotatable alternately in opposite directions, and a single cable having its ends secured to said support and having its intermediate portions passing around said guide pulleys, said outter pulley and said driving drum,whereby said cable is effective to reciprocate said outter support and to alternately rotate said cutter in opposite directions,

6. In a pile thread cutter for looms, a retary cutter, a arrier therefor, and a single means for moving the carrier and rotating the cutter, said means being etfective to move the carrier and cutter rclativelyto the fabric being woven and having a portion thereof directly engaging the cutter and causing); rotation 01" the cutter as the carrier moves.

In a pile thread cutter for looms, a 1'0- tary cutter, a carrier therefor, a flexible driv er for said cutter bent back on lit to cause one portion to move in a direction opposite the direction in which the carrier moves, and means to establish direct operative connection between the cutter and said portion of the driver to cause rotation of the cutter as the carrier moves. r
8. In yarn cutting; mechanism for looms, rotary cutting mechanism, amovable sup port therefor, and flexible means connected to said support and in driving engagement with a part of the cutting mechanism and eltective to move the support relatively to the fabric and to rotate the cutte by reason of the direct engagement between said flexible means and the cutting mechanism.
