In the accompanying drawing, as shown in Fig. 1, is the cap and in Fig. 2 a cross-section of same. In the drawing A is the cap proper, which is made of any suitable flexible watertion, which, as shown, encloses on all, except the inner side, a tube 0. This tube C is of a flexible water-proof elastic material, such flated by air or gas of any kind. D is an ordinal. valve to permit the gas or air to be injected into tube C and when the requisite amount has been so injected, the valve is closed. The brim or outer portion B which encloses the tube 0 on all but the inner side which contacts with the wearers head is of an inelastic material so that inflation of the tube C results in reducing the diameter of that portion of the cap which con: tacts with the wearers head and by reason of the tube being of an elasticor rubber like nature, it readily conforms to the configuration of the wearers head and is held there by the flexible, water-proof, inelastic portion B as will be readily seen, the portion of the tube 0 contacting with the'wearers head proof material. I claim:

1. A-bathing cap composed of a flexible water-proof head covering, a band therefor arranged entirely on the outside of said head covering portion so as to provide .a non-ob structed-inner surface to said head covering portion, said band consisting of a water-proof elastic portion adapted to be'inflated to conform to the wearers head and a flexible 66 water-proof inelastic portion surrounding said inflatable portion on three sides thereof. 2.
