My invention relates ,to are lamps, and particularly to reflectors for arc lamps, and the principal object of my invention is to provide a new and improvedreflector particularly adapted for this purpose. Inthe drawings accompanying this specification and forming a partof this application, I have shown, for purposes of illustration,'one form which my invention may assume, and in these drawings: T

Herein I have shown my invention as ap plied'to an arc lamp 11 comprising an upper mechanism section 12 from which rise terminals 13 and 14, through which the entire lamp is supported by means of a hanger 15, and from which depend a pair of rods 16 supporting a frame 17 which carries on'its lower face an insulating disc 18 centrally apertured for the passage of the upper carbon 19 therethrough, is provided on its two sides with outwardly extending arms 20 provided at their ends with aperture'd lugs 21 adapted to receive insulating bushings 22 through which pass supporting and conducting rods 23 insulated from the frame 17 by means of the insulating bushings 22, held in position by means of nuts 24 flanking the insulating bushings 22, connected to a conductor 25 leading from one side of the line, surrounded by insulating tubes 26, and supporting at their lower ends a cross bracket 27 in which is mounted the lower carbon 28.

It will of course be; understood by those skilled in the art that thereflector sections 31 and 32 may be made conveniently by stamping; I V e 1 From the above description it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that I have provided a reflector particularly adapted for arc lamps, readily attachable and detachable, and economical to manufacture, and it therefore, will be apparent that the embodiment of my invention herein shown and described accomplishes at least the principal object of my invention, At the same time those skilled in the art will appreciate that the embodiment of my invention herein shown and described embodies advantages and uses other than those specifically set forth or suggested herein, and may be variously changed and modified without departing from the spirit of myrinvention or sacrificing these advantages and uses, and it therefore will be un derstood that the disclosure herein is illustrative only, and that my invention' is not limited thereto.
- I claim 1. A reflector for use with an arc lamp of a type having vertically extending members flanking the arc on'the two sides of thearc, comprising a top, a base,rand a lateral wall connecting said top and saidbase, and provided with resilient fingers adapted to resiliently, clamp said members to hold said re-v flector supported on said-lamp quickly detachable therefrom. An arc lamp reflector comprising a front section, and a rear section, said sections being provided with lips adapted when interengaged to secure said sections together supported one from the other, and one of said sections being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged. r

An are lamp reflector comprising a front section supported from the arc lamp, and a rear section, said sections being pro-v vided with lips adapted when inter-engaged to secure said sections together with said rear section supported from said front section, and one of said sections being resilient to permit that section; to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged.

An arc lamp reflector comprising a front section, and a rear section, said sections being provided with lips adapted when interengaged to secure said sections together supported one from the other, and said rear section being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged. A reflector for use with an arc lamp of a type having vertically extending members flanking the are on the two sides of the arc, comprising: a front section, and a rear section; said front section including a top, a base, and a lateral wall connecting said top and said base, and being provided with resilient fingers adapted to resiliently clamp said members to hold said front section supported on said lamp quickly detachpermit that section to besprung to permitsaid lips to be so interengaged.

A reflector for use with an arc lamp of a type having vertically extending members flanking the are on the two sides of the arc, comprising: a front section, and a rear section; said front section-includinga top, a base, and a lateral wall connecting said top and said base and provided with resilient fingers adapted to resiliently clamp said members to hold said front section supported on said lamp quickly detachable therefrom; said sections being provided with lips adapted when interengaged to secure said sections together with said rear section supported from said front section; and one of said sections being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to so interengaged. A reflector for use with an arc lamp of a type having vertically extending members flanking the are on the two sides of the arc, comprising: a front section, and a rear section; said front section including a top, a base, a lateral wall connecting said top and said base interrupted centrally and at the edges of said interruption provided with resilient fingers adapted to resiliently clamp said members to hold said front section supported on said lamp quickly detachable therefrom; said sections being provided with lips adapted when interengaged to secure said sections togetherwith said rear section supported from said front section; said rear section being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged.

An arc lamp reflector comprising a front section, a rear section, and a depending extension, said sections being provided with lips adapted when interengaged to secure said sections together supported one from the other, one of said sections being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged, and saidextension depending integrally from said rear section and carrying a table positioned beneath the arc to catch material dropping from the arc. d

An arc lamp reflector comprising a front section supported from the arc lamp, a rear section, and a depending extension, said sections being provided with lips adapted When interengaged to secure said sections together with said rear section supported from said front section, one of said sections being resilient to permit that section to be sprung to permit said lips to be so interengaged, and said extension depending integrally from said rear section and carrying a table posii tioned beneath the arc to catch materia' front section supported from the arc lamp, a
