In the drawing, reference numeral 2 designates a circular base, which is dome shaped and chambered, and into a central opening therein is threaded at 3 Iatube 4. Rotatable within the upper end of this `tube is a bored plug or sleeve 5, the same being'provided with a shoulder vor collar 6 resting on the upper edge ot' the tube 4. i This plug or sleeve is provided with an annular groove 7 in which rides the tree ends ot' screws or pins 8, the `latter serving to connect the parts 4 and 5 together, yet permit rotation of the plug orsleeve 5 and its associated parts. .Y
Threaded at 9 within the plug or-sleeve 5 is a member 10 which has a Ythreaded shoulder or collar 12, between which and the shoulder or collar 6 is clampedthe cupshaped bottom 14 of the liquid soap container, the joints between these parts being sealed with packing (not shown) it desired. This base 14 has an upstanding marginal rim or flange 15 receiving and surrounding the exterior of a transparent cylindrical wall 16, and in a similar manner. the said wall is received by a rim or flange 17 formed on the cup-shaped cap 18. A dome-shaped cap-nut 19 passes through a central opening in the cap 18, and said cap is threaded into a cup-shaped head 20, which may have openings 20 formed therein for the passage of the liquid soap to the interior oi the reservoir.` This head 20 is bored and receives a plug 21, into which threads an axial tube 22, there being a bore 24 con'ununicating with the bore of the tube `22 and also communicating through a radial. passage 25 with a peripheral groove 26 formed in said plug21. A tube 27 is threaded vin said head 20 with its bore in communication with said groove 26 and extends radially outwardly where its opposite end is threaded into an end piece 28 which has an axial bore 2f) communicating with a bore 30 which extends through a nozzletip 31, the latter being threaded` to receive an. internally threaded nozzle guard 32. An `exterior tube 33 has one end seated in a socket 34 in the head 20 and .its outer end engaged with a shoulder 35 on the end piece 28, a `neck 37 extending fromV said end piece 28 `between the two tubes 27 and 33. y.
Said axial tube 22 has its lower end threaded in acoupling 40, which in turn surrounds `and isthreaded to the upper end of thel pumpcylinder 41, this cylinder being an upward extension from `the member 1() aforementioned. A piston 42 having transverse ports 43is located within the cylinder 41 and is engaged upon its upper tace by a disk valve 44. A coil spring engages said valve 44 andcoupling` 40 and controls the said ports 43. vThe piston42 .is threadct onto the upper end of an axial operatii'ig rod 46, upon which 4loosely tits a valve or tree piston having ports lsimilar to those of the upper piston 42, and this member 50 is also arranged within the cylinder 41 and is engaged by a `coil spring 52 surrounding said rod 46 and bearing against the upper pistou 42. The bottom of the cylinder'41 has a conical seat 53 for the lower end of the valve or free piston 50, such lower end being also conical. and the wall of the cylinder 41 is provided with ports 55 placing the cylinder .interior in communication with the liquid soap chamber 56. The interior oi the member 10 is chamberedto receive pack ing which is confined by atollower 61 forced toV place ,by a coilspring 62 which `surrounds the rod 46 andbears upon a collar 63 on said rod 46. The lower end oit the rod 46 is taperedsubstantially to a point `64 which inds bearing in a cup-shaped head 65 threadedon the upper` end of a second axial `ment and has contact with a operating izodG, .the lower end oi-such rod being` threaded into a connection (ST and secured by a jamb nut 68. A lever centrally pivoted at 7l yto a bracket 72 depend ing;l 'trom the base 2, has pivotal connection at 73 with the bracket 67 at one end and at its other end has pivotal connection at. 74 with a toot pedal 75 which extends through said base 2. The amen-nt of movement permitted the pedal and its associated parts is controlled by an adjusting screw 78, which is hreaded in the base Q for external adjustcup-shaped member T9 on said lever 70. i

Duringifthis movement, the rods GGV and 4G as well as the upper piston 42 are raised against the resist-A ance of the coilv springs 'G2 and rllhe spring- 45 holds lthe "valve disk 44 against the piston ports 43 to closet'he same while V'the piston is ascending, and meanwhile, the spring 52 expands to hold the valve or `free piston 50 to its seat until the upper piston 42 has almost reached the limit ot' its upward movement, when the spring becoming-fully expanded or weakened from beine' nearly expauded. permits the valve or free piston 50 to litt trom its seat under the influence of the vacuum created between the piston 42 and valve or 'free piston 50 on the upward movement of the upper piston Then the valve or tree piston 50 ,lifts from its seat, the ports are uncovered, and the liquid soap enters the same 'from the chamber 56 and passes tlniough the ports 51 in the valve or free piston 50. Upon releasingr pressure on the pedal 75, the spring 62 expands to torce the operating rods 4G and .GG downwardly to their initial or normal position, thus drawingthe upper `piston 42 downwardly, compressinpthe springT to jtorce the valve or free piston 50 to its seat over the ports and compressing between the piston 42 and valve or freepiston V50 the liquid soap, causing` the same to escape through the ports 43 in the upper rpiston 42. ln escaping' through these ports 43 the liquid soap will overcome the spring` 45 and litt the disk valve 44 and escape into the tube 2:2. Att-er the tubes 22 and Q7 have become filled, an amount of liquid equal to the amount forced thereinto by the pump will be discharged at the nozzle 3l upon each operation of the pedal and pump.

A liquid dispenser, comprising a standard. liquid reservoir mounted thereon, and coniprising` several parts, a pump carried by said standard, a discharge tube connecting the parts et said reservoir in assembled relation, and manually operated means carried by said standard tor operating said` pump.

A liquid dispenser, comprising` a standard. a liquid reservoir mounted thereon and comprisingseveral parts, a pump arranged axially of said standard, a discharge tube connecting` the parts ot said reservoir in as sembled relation, a piston for said pump having an operating portion extending axially ol said standard, manually operated means carried by said standard having operative connection with said piston operating portion.

A liquid dispenser, comprising a base, a liquid reservoir carried thereby, a pump cylinder in communication with the reservoir, a discharge nozzle in conmiunication with the pump, a valved piston tor said cylinder, manually operated means on said base and arranged below the reservoir tor operatil'lg said piston, a valve controlling connnunication between the pump cylinder and reservoir, and springl means between said pi ton and valve for controlling operation o't said Valve.

A liquid dispenser, comprising a liquid reservoir made up ot several parts, means for expelling liquid from the reservoir, a member socketed in one of the reservoir parts and having a chambered interior and an annular exterior groove in communication with said chambered interior, a tubular connection between said member and said expelling means securing the reservoir parts in as sembled relation, and a discharge member carried by said reservoir and in connnunication with said annular groove.

A liquid dispenser, comprising a base having a tubular portion, a supporting member having an exterior groove swiveled in said tubular portion, means on said tubular portion extendingl into said groove to conline `the member in said tubular portion, a liquid reservoir, means lor expelling liquid therelrom, said reservoir and means being carried by said supportingmember, said expelling means including` an operating n'iember extending axially ol said suliiporting member, an exteriorly operable lever within .said base, a rod pivotally connected therewith and extending axially of the said tubular portion, and a swivel connection between said .rod and said operating member o'lf the eX- pollingI means.

A liquid dispenser comprising a standard, a liquid reservoir mounted upon the upper end of the standard. a pump arranged in the reservoir, connected rods having a part projecting through the bottom of the reservoir, a piston for the pump connected to the upwardly projecting part et said rods, a discharge means for the pump including a nozzle projecting from the reservoir, spring means for urging the rods in one direction, and a lever operatively connected to said rods and adapted to cause the pump to teed liquid to the discharge means.
