At 22 the door 17 is provided with an appropriate lock, preferably kcy controlled, `and designed to cooperate with a keeper provided in the right hand side wall of the casing body 6. In addition to the narrow opening 16 and the lock 2Q, the door 17 is characterized by a platform or narrow shelfv 23 and by end pockets 24, the said narrow shelf 23 being designed to support and the said pockets 24 being adapted to receive and hold the ends of the transparent panel 2, before mentioned, and a card 25 back of the said transparent panel; the said card 25 being provided with divisions bearing numbers, said numbers designating certain cows, and the spaces in the divisions and'above the numbers being adapted for the reception of data germane to the particular cow represented by the number of the division. Manitestly the card 25 is adapted to be readily removed when necessary, and to be replaced with a fresh card intendedto take care of any changes that may take place in the handling of a herd.

For the attachment of the record sheet 3 to bc used to the roller 1, I provide the `said roller with a plurality of, preferably four, resilient clips 26, the said clips 26 being spaced apart, preferably in the f relation shown in Figure 2, and being provided with barbs 27 adapted to extend through the upper portion oi? a record sheet and into the roller 1, so as to positively secure the record sheet to the roller. The clips 26 are .capable of being sprung away from the roller 1, and from this it follows that by virtue of the clips 26 a record sheet may be expeditiously and easily attached to the roller 1, and may as readily be detached from said roller when iilled with entries.

As designated by Q8 and 29 in Figure 5, the horizontally swingable outer door 17 of the cabinet is provided with upper and lower flanges designed to rest above and below the casing body 6. p

I prefer to employ my no-vel cabinet in upright position on a wall or other upright support, and toward said end I provide the casing body 6 with hanger loops 30, and with a pendent apertured strap 3]. through the medium of which said casing body 6 may be attached to a wall or otherV upright support.

I illustrate in Figure 1 morning and afternoon divisions on the record sheet 3 in registration with the opening 16 in the door 17, and it will be noticed that each pair of divisions on therecord sheet is iny vertical alinement with one'of the divisions of the card 25, so that the daily milk record of each cow may be yexpeditiously and easily entered upon the record sheet 3, and this with but little liability ot the record sheet being soiled or otherwise affected by its exposure tol the atmosphere through the openingl.

In the practical use of my novel cabinet, it will be appreciated that the record sheet 3 is protected from prolonged exposure to light rays and hence the sheet is not liable to become discolored, and moreover the sheet is effectively protected against'dirt, and milk and milk tat such as are likely to be upon a milkers hand. It will also be appreciated that at the end of a month or other predetermined period of time, the sheet filled with entries having to do with the 'daily milk weight from each cow, may be expeditiously and easily removed from the cabinehso as to show clearly and cleanly the record of each cow for the month or other predetermined period. This will be appreciated as an important advantage when it is stated that the progressive' dairy man is guided chiefly by the daily milk record of the cow.

In addition to the practical advantages ascribed to my novel cabinet,itwill be notedV that the cabinet is simple and inexpensive in construction, and in general is well adapted to withstand exposure at the point where it is located for convenient use of milkers employed in connection with a herd.

I have entered into a detailed description of the construction and relative arrangement of the parts embraced in the present and preferred embodiment of my invention in order to impart a full, clear and exact understanding of the said embodiment. I do not desire, however, to be understood as limiting myself to the construction and relativearrangement of parts as disclosed, myinvention being defined by my appended claims Within the scope of which modil'ications may be made without departing froml my invention. l
