My invention relates to a vanity case and has for its object the production of such a case which will be neat in appearance as well yas compact in form and whiclnin addition is to theusual toilet supplies, will also serve as a purse Ato accommodate coin or paper money. v y

In the accompanying drawings, which illustrate one form of vanity case made in accordance with my inv-ention, Figure 1` is a y side view, the two outer hinged parts being shownin open position; Figure 2 is a View similar to Figure 1 but lookingI trom the opposite sides; Figure 3 is an edge view, the inner pivoted part being also in open position; Figure l is a top View, all th-e parts of which are in open position; and Figure 5 is an enlarged cross Section, all the parts being in closed position.

rlhe body ofthe device, indicated at 6, is disk-shaped and is provided with a mirror 7 and a pocket 8 adapted to receive a rouge compact. Hinged to one side of the body 6 at 9 is a disk-shaped member v10 forming a receptacle for face powder. Formed in the inner face of this receptacle is an opening 11 covered by a rotatable disk 12 inwhich is an opening 13 adapted to be brought into alignment with the opening 11 for the introduction oi" the powder into the receptacle.

A set of perforations 14 in the disk 12 is also adapted tov be brought into register with the opening 11 (as shown in Figure 5) and through which the powder may be sifted for use. Carried on the body4 6 at a point diametrically opposite the hinge 9 is a stem 15 to which a chain may be attached for carrying the case. This stem is also provided with an opening 16 cooperating with a ball clasp 17 on the part 10 to hold the said part in closed position. Hinged to the body 6 at 18 is a hemispherical member 19, the-large diameter of which is the same, or Vnearly the same as the diameter ot' the body 6. A spring catch 20 serves to holdy the member 19 in closed position. Formed on the interior of the member 19 is a shallow receptacle 2l adapted to receive paste perfume or other cosmetic preparation. 1n addition to the member 19 a second hemi spherical member 22 is hinged at 23 to the body 6 so as to open at right angles to the member 19. A spring catch 24 holdsthe member 22 in closed position. Coin receptacles 25, preferably three in number, are formed on the outer face of the member 22 1927. Serial No. 180,644.

It will be seen that my vanity case 1s compact in form securing` a maximum of utility in a minimum of space and that the resulting device is ot graceful form.' In a device of the class described, the combination with a body, of a cover hinged to one side of said body, a second cover hinged to the other side of said body substantially at right angles to said first named cover, and a member hinged to one side of the body substantially at right angles to the adjacent cover and adapted to be folded against the body and to be enclosed by the second named cover.

In a device ot the class described, the combination with a body providedvon one face with a mirror and with a compact pocket, of a cover hinged to one side of the body and forming a. powder container, a second cover hinged to the other side of the body, and a member also hinged to the latter u named side ofthe body and provided with coil holders, said member being adapted to fold against the body and to be enclosed by said second named cover.

4. In a device of the class described, the

combination kwith a main part comprising two members hinged together, one of said members carrying al mirror and the other forming a powder receptacle, of a domeshaped member hinged to one side of said main parte, and a second dome-shaped member having on its exterior surface article retaining means 'and hinged to said main part substantially at right angles to said rst named dome-shaped member and adaptked to be folded against said main part and I to be covered by said first named domeshaped member.

In a device of the class described, the combination with a main parteomprisi'ng two members hinged together, one of saidl members carrying a mirror and the other forming a powder receptacle, of a domeshaped member hinged to one side of said main part, and a second do-me-shapedmem.- ber hinged to said main part and situated within said iirst named domeshapedme1nber, said second dome-shaped member'being provided with exterior and interior article retaining means.

6. In a device of the class described, the
