My invention clips that are adapted forv holding together the lap boards used for making concrete forms. The principal objects of the invention are to provide a clip comprising a pointed end that may be driven into the two byy four studs and a bracket end that is inserted between the lap joints of the ship-lap boards whereby the useof nails andthe consequent splitting of the boards at their joints is eliminated. Other objects are to provide a clip of very simple construction that is reliable and efficient in use and which may be manufact-tired at comparatively small cost.
VVith the above and other objects in view which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention consists of the novelconstruction, adaptation, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and claimed. These objects are accomplished by the device illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein: i

Referring to the drawings throughout which like reference numerals designate like parts, the numeral 5 indicates the body portion of the device which is flattened, asat 6,' at one of its end portions.

Referring to Figs. 2, 3 and 4 the numeral 16 designates the two by four studs and the numeral 17 indicates the ship-lap or otherl .boards used 1n making concrete forms.
In the application of the device two of thel boards are fitted together against the two vby four with thel bracket portion of the clip inserted between the lap joint thereof as clearly shown in Fig. 2. The point 15 is then driven home by hammering upon the head 13 until the body portion 5 bears against the two by four.
Due to the fact that the shank portion 14 is disposed at an angle greater than ninet degrees ywith the body portion 5, said shanli and point 15 will sink into the stud 16 in a slantwise direction with the lap boards 17. This will result in drawing the lap Vboard joint, that is embraced by the bracket portion of the device, snugly and securely against the stud as will be readily understood.
When the concrete has set the forms may be readily removed by pulling the shank portions 14 out of the studs with a pair of pliers or other instrument' applied to the head 13.
It will now be obvious thatl have provided a clip that willhold the lap boards securely against the studs. The use of nails which result in splitting the lap `ioints of the boards isentirely eliminated, andthe boards maybe used many times lover without impairment by employing my clip. 1
Having being understood that minor changes may be resorted to without departing Afrom its scope and spirit, what l claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is :-k

Y A clip comprising a main body, a pointed shank on one end of said main body arranged at substantially right angles thereto and a substantially U--shaped bracket formed on the other end of said main body, said bracket embodying two spa-ced parallel sides `disposed at substantially right angles to said main body and connected with each other by an end portion one of said sides being oonnec/ted` withv the end ofsaid main body.
