This invention has relation torthat type'of oil burner in which the oil is atomized by and ycommingled with steam prior toy injection intoA the combustion chamber, and the 5 special object ofthis invention is to so construct the atoniizingrdevice that steam will be usedv at boiler pressure at the atomizer nozzle, thereby insuring a more minute subdivision of the oil .and a more thorough commingling of the atomized oil andsteam, as more specifically hereinafter set forth. Referring to the form of device shown in Fig. 1, 5 designates la mixing chamber, through the sidewall of which enters the oilconduit 6, the inner'end ofthis vconduit be-v ing turned at right-angles so as to deliver theoil in an outward direction soas to form an outwardly-directed nozzle, the interior of 4 the end of the nozzle being bevelled to form a seat for the bevelled end of'a valve-pin 7.
