The present application is a modification of the embodiment shown in my Patent No. 1,625,306 of April 19, 1927, for improvements in washing attachments for tubs,
The principal object of the present inventionis to provide an air injector which is adapted to operate in association with any suitable source of air.
Another very important object of the invention is to provide an attachment of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, in that it is capable of being quickly, expeditiously, and easily assembled and disassembledand may be manufactured at a very low cost, and yet will prove thoroughly reliable and efiicient in use.
lVith the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in cer tain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinfter more fully described and claimed.

Referring to the drawing in detail, it will be seen that 5 designates a tub which may be provided with the cover 6, and in the present instance, one wall of the tub is provided at its upper edge with a notch 7. This tub has been shown merely by way of example, and may be in the nature of the ordinary household tub or of a much larger variety, such as would be used in laundries of the commercial type.
Referring in detail to the attachment, it will be seen that 8 denotes a pipe which has a flattened portion 9 for reception in the notch 7 not to interfere with the closing of the cover 6. This pipe 8 terminates at its inner end in depending extension 10,,
externally threaded for receiving the internally threaded collar 11 of a vertically disposed pipe 12 that depends inwardly into the tub. The bottom end of the pipe 12 is zilso externally threaded as is indicated at 13 for receiving a T coupling 14. The pipe 81s adapted to be connected in any suitable manner as indicated at 15 with a source of compressed air.
When the attachment is "to be used with a household tub, an ordinary vacuum cleaner may be used as a source of air.
However, in a commercial laundry, it would probably be preferable to use air compressors or the like.
A nozzle frame indicated generally by the letter A is attached to the coupling 14, and extends over the bottom of the tub. This frame may be of any desirable shape and formatiombut in the present instance, I have shown a form which has proved practical. This form of the frame is rectangular including side perforated pipes 16, end perforated pipe 17 and a pair of end perforated pipes 18. The pipes 18 are threadedly engaged with the T coupling 14. Elbow couplings l9 connect the end pipes 18 and the end pipe 17 with the side pipes 16. The plane of the frame A is disposed at right angles to the pipe 12 and therefore is disposed horizontally It is thought that the construction, utility, and simplicity of this invention will now be clearly appreciated by those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof. The'parts are very compactly arranged, and. may be conveniently and easily assembled or disassembled as desired. Because of the nature of the material from which the device is constructed, it may be manufactured at a very low cost. The.

The present embodiment of the invention has been disclosed in detail, since in actual practice, it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description. It will be apparent, however, that numerous changes in the details of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to if desired, without departing from the spirit or scope of the in-- vention as hereinafter claimed, or sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus described my what I claim as new is An attachment of the class described including a pipe adapted to be rested on the upper edge of a wash tub said pipe having one end thereof engageable with a source of air, a second pipe threadedly engaged with the other end of the first pipe and depending downwardly therefrom interiorly of the tub, a T coupling threadedly engaged with the lower end of the second pipe, a
