1 The present invention relates to the art of permanent waving of hair,,and at present it is generally customary to apply permanent waves infche hair by the application of electricaljheat. Suchprocess in-- general con sists in combing the hair and twisting 'or wrapping a number of strands .of'hainzit different locations on the head about an elec trical heating implement, the Wrapping be ing commenced about an inch or inch and a half from the scalp. ,This process has many disadvantages.
