Application filed January 22, 1926.
A further object to provide an improved gas heatingstove which is wellv adapted to be mounted upon a wall and is also adapted for use in bathrooms and the like.
Objects pertaining to details and economies of my invention will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow. The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in the claims.
A structure embodying the features of my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing forming a part of this application, in which: It:

in the embodiment illustrated it provide a casing comprising a back wall 1, end walls 2, a top 3 and a bottom 4, these parts as lllustrated being sheet metal stampings. The back wall is provided with bead-like rolls 5 at its vertical edgeswhich are engaged by bead-like rolls 6 on the rear edges of the end walls 2. The top and bottom overlap the edges of these walls as shown in Fig. 2, and the parts are secured together by bolts 7 arranged through these beads and engaging the top and bottom walls, clamping the parts together. These parts are substantially shown in my copending application.
l i ithin the casing l mount a base plate 8 having a curved flange or roll 9 at its front edge embracing the bead-like roll 4- of the bottom wall 1.
Upon the casing I mount a reflector 10 which has end portions 11 which extend forwardly to the panel 12 of glass, preferably a translucent or opalescent glass; that is, it is preferably not clear glass through which the radiating elements 13 may be visible. The lower edge of this panel 12 is seated in a groove 14 provided therefor in the base plate 8, while its upper edge is engaged in a groove 15 in the flue member 16 arranged upon the upper edge of the reflector. edge of the flue member has a roll or bead l7 therein which is engaged by a curved flange or head 18 on the top wall.
Bolts 19 are arrangedthrough these beads to engage the finishing members or uprights 20 having ears 21 at their ends overlapping the ends of these beads, thereby securing the parts in assembled relation. This provides a closed chamber above the base plate in which the radiating elements are supported. fir vent opening 22 is provided for this chamer.
The burner 23 is arranged in the casing below the base plate 8 and has tips 24 disposed in coacting relation to the radiating elements 13. The bottom wall 4 of the casing has openings 25 which are preferably provided with a screen 26. The top wall 3 has air circulating passages 27 therein, there be ing a space 28 between the reflector and the rear wall so that air may circulate between the reflector and the rear wall, and out the top of the casing.
l Vith this arrangement of parts I provide a heater of high efliciency and one which is very attractive in appearance, the entire front of the casing being illuminated and the radiant heat being reflected from the radiants and by the reflector through this panel.
\Vhile l have illustrated my improvements as l have especially designed the same for wall heaters, they are well adapted and desirable for embodiment in other types of heaters, that is, heaters adapted to be set into fireplaces or portable heaters and the like.
Having thus described my invention What I claim as new and desire to secure by Let-- ters Patent is:
1. In a structure of the class described, the combination of a casing comprising a back wall and end walls and a top and a bottom, said top and bottom walls having air inlet openings therein, a base plate disposed within said casing in spaced relation to the bottom providing a burner chamber, a fine member disposed within said casing in spaced relation to the top thereof and having av vent opening at one end thereof, a reflector disposed within said casing between said base and fine member in spaced relation to the casing back and end walls providing an air circulating space from the burner chamber around the reflector and fine member, a transparent front panel disposed between said base and flue member and coacting therewith and with said reflector to provide a closed radiating element chamber, said base and flue member having grooves receiving the top and bottom edges of said front panel, said reflector having 1nturned supports for said panel, casing uprights disposed on the front edges of said end walls and overlapping the edges of the front panel, a radiating element disposed in said radiating element chamber, and a burner disposed in said burner chamber in coacting relation to said radiating elements.
2. In a structure of the class described,
the combination of a casing open at the front and comprising top and bottom walls having air inlet openings therein, a base plate disposed within said casing in spaced-relation to the bottom thereof, a flue member disposed within said casing in spaced relation to the top thereof and having a vent open-- ing through the casing, a reflector disposed within said casing between said base and flue member and in spaced relation to the walls of the casing permitting circulation'of air around the same. a transparent front panel disposed between said base and flue member and coacting therewith and with said reflector to provide a closed radiating elementchamber, a burner disposed below said base plate, and a radiating element disposed in said radiating element chamber in spaced relation to said burner.
3. In a structure of the class described, the combination of a casing open at the front, a base plate at the bottom of said casing, a flue member disposed horizontally at the top of said casing, a reflector disposed within said casing between said base plate and fine member, a translucent panel disposed between said base and fine member and coacting therewith and with said reflector to provide a closed radiating element chamher, a burner disposed below said base plate, and a radiating element disposed in said radiating element chamber in eoacting ralation to said base plate.
