It will also be understood that my improvement is extremely simple and inexpensive and does not in any'measure render a hand stamp cumbersome.

1. In a hand stamp and in combination,
a frame or body, a screw carried bythe frame or body and having a shank extending upwardly therefrom, handle extending upwardly relative to the frame or body and receiving the shank of the said screw, and an auxiliary thumb or finger piece having a dished body portion disposed in front of the frame or body and also having an apertured arm extending from said body portion and receiving the shank of the screw and arranged in interposed relation between the top of the body or frame and the lower end of the handle. As a new article of manufacture, an auxiliary thumb or iinger piece for application to and use in hand stamps, the said auxiliary thumb or linger piece being formed in one piece in general plate-like configuration and having a dishedv body or major portion and also having a reduced and apertur-ed arm extending from said body or major portion.
