This invention relates to shuttle changing devices for looms, and in particular to fly shuttle interchanging mechanism for power looms operating with a movable front wall. Hitherto it has been customary with all known arrangements of this kind to move the front wall by means of a rigid guide in themanner of agate arrangement or a link motion.- The motion of the front wall is effected by meansof a special power medium, such as a counter-weight or a spring. Such shuttle arrangements, however, did not enter into general use on account of their many defects and shortcomings, the main difficulties encounteredbeing the wide space between the shuttle magazine and the shuttle box, the wide structure necessitated thereby, the low Working speed, the unreliability of the changing gear, and, last, not least, Want of economy involved in its use. All these shortcomings can be traced back to the fact that the interchangeable fly shuttle arrangements proposed hitherto are arranged to run in a rigid guide and that the intercl'lange of shuttles is not positively effected by means of adri-ving shaft-or steering-gear.
. These objections are removed by a device embodying my present invention which com-l prises means whereby:
1. The front wall is swung ou bars; 7
2. The path of the front wall is mined by a pair of elements;
8. The movement of the front wall is directly effected and carried out by means of a driving shaft; r
4. A shifting of the front wall accompanied by the rocking of the same is'eft'ected.
Two embodiments of this invention are given, by way of example, inthe accompanying drawings, wherein:

At the same time the shuttle'box 8 is opened in the usual manner by the extension of the lever 13 (Fig. 3), wherebythe empty shuttle is caught.
