These and other objects and advantages will become more fully known as the description thereof proceeds and will then be more specifically defined in the appended claim.
In the accompanying drawing forming a material part of this disclosure:
Fig. 1 is a top plan view of a holder for a corn-plaster or other curative remedies.
Fig. 2 is a section on line 2-2 of Fig. 1. 3 is a top plan view of a modified form of my device.
Fig. 4 is a side elevation of another fication of the same.
modi- Fig. 5 shows in side elevation, a further.
modified form of my device, representing a capsule.
Fig. 6 is an enlarged detail'view of the adjustable cap for the capsule, Figure 5.
The holder according to the present invention illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, comprises an elognated band 10 of suitable shape and material, as for instance rubber or rubberized fabric which has in its center a hollow boss or projection 11, into the hollow space of which a wad of cotton saturated with a corn curative remedy or plaster is placed. The band is attached to the part of the body afilicted with a corn, as for in stance a toe, by means of the snap-button 12 attached at one end of the band and adapted to engage in the well known manner, a socket 13 at the opposite end of the body, or other suitable fastening means, such as hooks and eyes, etc., may be used.
In Figure 3, a band 14 is illustrated which has a plurality of openings 15 formed thereatfiicted with a corn, or other ing inner margin 1925. Serial No. 3 8,658.
this form 1s attached to the part of the body afflicted with a corn by means of a snap-button fastening 18 and 19 or by any other suitable securing means.
In the form of my invention illustrated in Figure e, the band 20 has formed in its middle part simply an opening into which a wadof cotton QL'satura-ted with a remedy may be introduced and held therein the reinforced and somewhat project- 22rof the material forming the opening. fastening 23, or the like, may be used to fasten the device to the body part.
Also in this'form a snap I In the modification illustrated in Figures 5 and 6,-the band 2% has inserted into its central opening, a socket 25 held in place byv its lower flange 26 and a reinforcement 27.
A cap or cover 28 is hingedly attachedto the socket as at 29, and has a substantially Z-shaped slit 30 formed in its side wall into which engages a pin 31 of an extension cap 32, or the like for allowing the introduction and holding of a smaller or larger wad of cotton saturated wit-h the corn curative in the capsule.
I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
A holder for a corn remedy comprising a band having a centrally located opening formed therein, a socket in said opening for the reception of the corn remedy, a means for holdin said socket to said band, a means for attaching said band to a part of the body, a cap cap having a Z-slit formed therein, an auxiliary extension cap in said main cap, and a pin on said auxiliary cap entering said Z-slit and guidedtherein forholding said auxiliary cap to the main cap and for guiding the same in its relative positions.
In testimony whereof I have aifixed my signature. I
