The invention aimslto provide anew :and improved door for granaries, providedwith a pair of wings, and downwardly'swingablc to an open position.A Thus, when a wagon is driven alongside of the granaryl to either load or unload the grain, the doormay be downwardly swung to the edge of the wagon bed and the wings may be extended, so that a wide platform is provided between the granary and the wagon, preventing' any grain from being thrown onto the ground,
during the act of shoveling it either into or from the wagon.
A further object of the invent-ion is to provide a carrying frame for the door, which is of such nature that it may be quickly and easilyy secured to a granary. and will maintain a tight, weatherproof connection therewith.
1With the foregoing in view, the invention resides in the novel subject matter hereinafter .describedand claimed, the dcscription being supplemented by the accompanying drawing.

The numeral 8 on the accompanying drawing, designates a door frame which is preferably formed from metal, said frame having a portion .9 to lie against the outer side of a granary 10, around an opening 11, said frame being also provided with another portion 12 to enter the opening 11. This portion 12 is provided withan in'- wardly extending flange 13, and a door 14 which is preferably formed 'from metal, closes against the outer side of said flange,
the door being hinged at its lower end as indicated at 15, so that it may swing downwardly to a position at which it outwardly .declines from the granary. Any desired fastening means 16 may be provided for normally holding the door in closed position.

Thus, a platform substantially .three times as wide as the door 14, is provided to extend between the door opening. and the wagon IV toy `be -loaded or unloaded, and this platform preferably declines to said wagon, so that any grain falling upon it will slide back into the wagon bed. When the platform is thus declined, it will be seen that the inner edges of the wings 17 will .strike the side members of the frame 8, when said wings are outwardly swung to extend in position. Thus, the wings are limited in their downward swinging. These wings and the door 14 may either rest directly upon the edge of the wagon bed, or may be supported a desired distance above said bed, by means of an appropriate leg 19 which is pivoted to the door 14.
In order that the frame 8 m-ay be quickly and easily attached, I prefer to provide two or more bolts 20 passing through the frame portion- 9, the inner ends of said bolts having hooks 21 to engage two-by-fours 22 at the sides of the opening 11, the outer ends of said bolts being provided with nuts 23` which may be tightened for the purpose of securely clamping the frame to the building. This frame may either be shaped for Contact with a fiat-sided building or with one having a cylindrical form, and when tightly clamped in place, will be proof against entrance of rain. In this connection, attention may be invited to the fact that a suitable water shed 24 is preferably provided at the upper end of the frame. Attention is also invited to the fact that 'as the door 14 is mounted within the confines of the frame 8, there is no danger of strong wind ripping it from its hinges.
As excellent results may be obtained from the details disclosed, they are preferably followed. However, within the scope of the invention as claimed, variations may be made.
I claim 1. A device of the class described comprising a door frame, a door hinged thereto for downward and outward swinging to a position at which it projects from the lower end However, when the door isk of said frame, and a pair of side wings hinged to said door and projectable laterally therefrom beyond the side members of the fra-me when said door is in its downwardly and outwardly swung position, said wings being overlapped at the inner side of the door when the latter` is closed.
2. A device of the class described comprising a door frame, a door hinged thereto for downward and outward swinging to a. position at which it declines from the lower end of the frame, and a pair of side wings hinged to said door and projectable laterally therefrom beyond the side members of the frame when said door is in its downwardly and outwardly swung position, the inner ends of said wings being then adapted to abut said side members of the frame to limit the downward and outward swinging thereof, said wings being overlapped at the inner side of the door when the latter is closed.
3. In a device of the class described, a frame having one portion to contact with the side of a building around an opening, and having another portion to enter the opening, bolts passing through the first named frame portion at the outer side of Said other portion, the inner ends of said bolts having hooks to engage frame members ot the building, and nuts on the outer ends of said bolts for tightening them to secure the frame tightly in place.
