A. screen bar rectangular in cross section, having a plurality of spacing lug projecting at right angles from a broad surface of the same and positioned inwardly with respect to the marginal edges of said bars, and each of said spacing lugs having a plurality of outwardly beveled bearing surfaces meeting in a plane intermediate the Working edges of the bar whereby flat contacting faces disposed at an angle to each other are provided.
